Upcoming charity match at Seiffert featuring former Raiders greats like Brad Clyde, Brett Mullins, Ken Nagas, Alan Tongue, Tom Learoyd Lahrs and Michael Weyman... Won’t feature Simon Woolford now as he’s gone to the UK... But that’s already a big line up.

Players being progressively announced: https://www.facebook.com/DRHPIEINTHESKY/

Payback not just Pie in the Sky for former Canberra Raiders captain Terry Campese

Former Canberra Raiders captain Terry Campese will go head-to-head against former teammates Alan Tongue and Marc Herbert, with Campese playing for the Queanbeyan Blues against an All Stars team at Seiffert Oval on September 28.

They'll look to raise money for charities Treehouse and Respite Care for Queanbeyan, but Campese will also be out for some revenge.

PIE IN THE SKY

September 28: David Reid Homes All Stars v Queanbeyan Blues at Seiffert Oval, 6.30pm. Gates open 4pm. Tickets $10, children 12 and under free.

Former Canberra Raiders captains back Josh Dugan to shine in NRL return

The two Raiders captains in charge of Josh Dugan's controversial time in Canberra say the troubled star deserves a second chance and they expect him to shine in a massive NRL grand final qualifier.

But former Canberra captain Terry Campese adds the Cronulla Sharks utility back needs to stop putting himself in bad situations.

Mike Kelly lines up with legend Angel Marina in charity footy

Several Canberra Raiders legends - including Ken Nagas, Brett Mullins and Alan Tongue - are making their way to Queanbeyan's Seiffert Oval on Friday night for the second Pie in the Sky charity rugby league match.

A Raiders all-star side (coached by Mal Meninga) will take on the Queanbeyan Blues (coached by Terry Campese) in the 6.30pm match, refereed by Bill Harrigan and raising money for charities Treehouse and Respite Care for Queanbeyan.

But it's the preview game at 6pm that I'm keen to duck off work a bit early for. A few former Blues players from the 1970s are heading out onto the turf, including names like Frank Cleary, Johnny Res, Angel Marina and Blinky Maxwell.

Running water is Pie in the Sky for Canberra Raiders great Jason Croker

Canberra Raiders legend Jason Croker won't be running water, he'll be walking it. That's all his creaking knees will allow him to do for the Pie in the Sky charity game at the Green Machine's spiritual home of Seiffert Oval on Friday night.

"The old knees are not up to it. I'll be walking the water out, mate, I won't be running the water," Croker said. "It should be a good arvo. I'm looking forward to catching up with some old teammates and it's for a great cause as well."

We have Victor the Viking out on the field. Long time, no see, for Seiffert Oval. Crowd is probably a little better 5han an average Queanbeyan Blues match with a minute to kick off.

Don’t forget, there is a live stream in this thread above. And donate if you can’t make it to Seiffert.

We have an honorary kick off... and the Blues are serious! They’ve taken the All Stars out over the sideline first tackle!
