Ricky Stuart interview:

South Sydney are not sitting at the top of the table for nothing, they're very consistent, they've got a big pack of forwards. The player we really have to watch is Cook, if you don't get your defence right we will be in trouble, that area of their game is their power. Anyone who doesn't get off the ground quickly, Cook will exploit his explosive power.

We need have to learn how to win, we've had a lot of close losses, we had a close win last week and that's really good for us in learning how to win.

Recorded interview from yesterday.

Don Furner interview:

Planning underway already for next season? Yes, we've got the Warriors next week, we'll do a review at the end of that game, of all parts of our business. We normally do it, but more important than ever given the season. Hopefully we can knock Souths off today.

The crowds have seen the team not give up, I want to thank the crowds for not giving up on us.

Emre Guler debut and jumper presentation. His mother was very emotional, the new age of social media gets criticism, but the fact we could put that up, it was authentic and real and got so much positive coverage.

Signings for next season? We've got a couple of spots available. They constantly come across the desk, you get calls, changes of coach elsewhere, salary cap audits, some teams will have to move some players, we'll see who becomes available. That can happen up until June, hopefully not that late.

Pre season games? Fantastic support from the region, we serve the region and we will take one out to the country, more than likely a trial game, then hopefully a competition game to Wagga. The region is very important to us, great sporting teams around us.

We will give the departing players a special farewell today, so hopefully the fans get out there to see the match.

Tell me Don, why would you link the discussion on the end of season review to ‘hopefully we knock of Souths today’? I’d say today’s result would do nothing but gloss over another abysmal season.

The outcomes of the review have already been determined. New training facilities and new assistant coaches are required. They might even squeeze in an additional trial.

Penrith have proved they don't mind breaking contracts when they sacked their coach. DFJ, which ever player manager looks after Luai, should be approached with a view to getting him in green for next year. He is stuck behind Cleary at Penrith. He would be a good chance of being an NRL starting half at the Raiders. He have Austin leaving who was an attacking spark. Luai is a like for like replacement with far more upside. If we have 2 spots available Don, go after this young man.

You mean he doesn't jump out of the line in defence or make a bad read one-on-one?
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.
