I still think we would be better off picking a young bloke with potential eg Luai from Penrith who is stuck behind Cleary or go to England and use the knowledge EW and Hodgo have to pick one they think can get the job done in the NRL.

Given next years roster we have come a long way since the use of a busted Tongue at 9. We still need to fix the D as our No.1 priority though. That is the reason we are not playing semi-final footy this year - not the attack.
Tyler Cornish...
Matt Frawley...
Lachlan Coker...
Lachlan Lewis....
Mitch Cornish...
Sam Williams?
All reserve graders at best. Only reason some are in first grade are cause the clubs have no one else or cause of injuries.

I don't disagree. Funny though how they all look better at other clubs... or at least less rubbish. No real point though!

I very much like Baptiste, but at the moment with the players we've lost for next year versus what we've gained, we'll still do extremely well to run 13th.

Anyway, if anyone on here ever sees Ricky Stuart at an event where he's a bit drunk, can you try to get him to fess up exactly what it was that Craig Garvey did? It's **** baffling.

Yep, that would do it.
Aaaarggh! The mystery continues. Could someone PM me and tell me what the deal is, please? I watched a recent Mounties game and was surprised to see Garvey named as captain. How can he be good enough to captain the feeder side and get named in the 21, but not be picked?

Great news...Baptiste has spark.

Havili leaves a lot to be desired
Havili should be taking the ball up more with his big frame
He has to lift his game.

Kurt Baptiste had several clubs chasing him we're just lucky we had a fair chunk of our cap left 2 land this big fish as our 3rd or 2nd best hooker to play several minutes a game excellent recruiting.

The Raiders were open to hooker Kurt Baptiste returning to the club after his short stint in England, but Siliva Havili's re-signing appears to have shut that door.

Is it Sezer and Williams for another 2yrs ?

Man that’s a scary article. That is cap mismanagement 101.

And Don, you don’t need to assure the fans that the cap is being spent. We know that. The issue is it’s being so poorly spent.

Williams and Hingano both off contract next year.

Hodgson will need to play out of his skin next year or we will be in the same position as the last 2 years, or probably worse.

I too am flabbergasted at the state of our cap.

When they say we have 4 cap spots to fill, are those spots from outside the club or are they still looking to Horsburgh, OHagan and co??

How is Sutton a starting prop in the NRL, when he doesn't even start for Wigan in a reserve grade level competition?

Hey GE.
How about we catch up in the "I'm tired and I'm worn down" thread.

We can talk about our boss telling the fans not to worry about the salary cap and our recruitment guru telling us our halves are ok !!!!

He might swap with Knight, Sia or Lui,

He’ll be in the 17, starting bench, doesn’t really matter when your rotation has 1 Star player

My head hurts Ge.

My biggest concern, is that they are showing no concern about the situation we are in.

If all this is true, we aren’t far from where the dogs are. But they have been offloading players, changing boards, and sacking high paid coaches, as they understand where it is heading.

We are sending messages to the media to let everyone know we have lost 3 high paid players, but upgrades have taken up all that money .... no problems, nothing to see here.

When on earth will the press starting asking some questions???

It’s going to be a tough couple of years boys, the 2016 hangover continues.
