Sorry champion, for the last 47 years i haven't lived in canberra. Last time i was in canberra i watched them play the western reds. Thought things might have changed since then. You seem to know a fair bit, maybe you could tell me where this hq is these days. I'm guessing it's not manuka oval any more.

Ben, what's the square root of 17? Thanks in advance.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Hi Ben, will we see a proper museum at the new HQ showcasing the great history of ACT Rugby League and the Canberra Raiders?

Craig Garvey is in good form for Mounties. Is there a reason other than form that he has not yet been in the Raiders 17?

How do I open this jar of hot salsa?

Ben what’s the timeframe and rules on the Maccas power play.

I went to the City interchange store yesterday and I had to pay for both meals in full because they said the deal had run out on Tuesday.

This didn’t match the loudspeaker announcement from my recognition. But I may have misheard.

Ben,
Last round when the legendary Ruben Wiki blew the Viking horn to get the Viking clap underway,
the horn made the sound before Ruben had put his mouth to it... could you explain the science behind this? It has me deeply perplexed.

Thanks in advance.

Ruben Wiki doesn't have time for your science.

Well you know, sound travels pretty fast. Maybe depending on how far you were sitting, you heard the horn before you saw the horn

Seriously... most questions I can't send to Ben or aren't serious... The questions I can't send... that's because they're ones Ben can not really answer (they're matters for the board, coach, CEO). So, unless people want to post serious questions... I'll decommission this thread. It has served a very good purpose over the years, but probably isn't doing much now.

Ben should take it as a compliment shows they are keeping us well informed through other channels...on things that he can talk about, we of course want to know the answers he can’t give

I don't know who to believe regarding the Viking horn sound now..

First of all I don't think the Vikings would've had the technology back in the day to create a digital recording, but if that is indeed true and you're suggesting that all of the special guests that come to Canberra Stadium to "blow the horn" are all frauds then yes, Christmas is indeed ruined.

All other theories seem quite plausible.

I just have 2. 1 isn’t Club related, but I have a curiosity for all things behind the scenes

1. Ben,

Does Raiders HQ have an office footy tipping comp?
If it does, what's the etiquette regarding tipping for or against the Raiders?

Follow up question, if it does, how are you going in it?

2. With the RSPCA Pet membership, would the Raiders consider have a General Admission section for people to bring pets?

Would be a good PR story, and Mack and Cheese would love to go to a game

Ask the Raiders

Post by FuiFui BradBrad »

Ben,

After reading about the Raiders nearing the 20k members mark, is there any trends around when memberships spike?

I would imagine the peak would be during pre-season, then stagnate during the season. But if that were the case, I’d imagine this article would have been closer to Rd 1.

Are there any interesting trends around membership sales that can be shared?

Follow up - Would the Raiders ever look into Net Promotor Scores for member analysis? I think that would be an interesting sandpit to play in

On this, when you do your next GH survey, any chance I can have a look at the raw data and have a play with it?
