This season sucks donkey balls
Re: Rapana gone for at least 8 weeks
Yep, season goes from bad to worse. Rapana is one of about 5 or 6 players I'd say are earning their keep in the current outfit.

Canberra Raiders winger Jordan Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
The Canberra Raiders have been dealt a massive blow with star winger Jordan Rapana set to miss at least eight weeks, which will also rule him out of the controversial Test in Denver.
They also look set to lose prop Charlie Gubb for their clash against Wests Tigers at Campbelltown next Sunday after he was offered a one-week ban with an early guilty for dangerous contact on Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary.

Poor fella. Hope we don't rush him back. Season is pretty much over anyway.

Agree, I just hope we do the same with Hodgson. Let’s not rush them back now

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Re: Rapana out for 8 weeks with hamstring injury
8 weeks! I never thought...I was thinking maybe 4, tops. Jesus.
Poor Raps. He must be spewing. I guess Oldfield will be straight into the wing on that side then.
EDIT: Raiders just posted it on the injury list. It says MINIMUM 8 weeks. So it could be longer. My god...

The Raiders won’t miss Gubb. He has been disappointing.
But Rapana for two months... wow.

Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
it could be the season for him.
Whilst I’m no physio - you see players with minor twingers/strains hobble around yet miss 6 odd weeks. Rapana was left literally legless immediately and been so high up the posterior thigh I wouldn’t be surprised if scans tomorrow show an anvulsion tear which will require surgery and it will almost be next season for him.
In saying that it’s bad luck for him, as he has been let down by our structures this season and has literally been given nil attacking opportunities inside the opposition 20 this season - but would of been one of the first picked in the NZ team for rep honours.

One of the only blokes playing with 100% pride in the jumper at the moment, tearing a hammy to save a would be try. Spewing... Hope it's a quick recovery for the big fella.

Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
He couldn’t make the warriors when they were absolute rubbish, anyone that expected him to be a top 17 player had obviously never watched him.
He’s a reserve grader and not a particularly good one
Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
Can’t say I’d really watched him closely. I was led to believe he could prosper at the Raiders, but I don’t see it. Mounties quality player, he’d do well at that level, and that’s way more than most people posting on The Greenhouse. He seems like a very nice bloke.kiwi raider wrote: ↑June 9, 2018, 7:43 pmHe couldn’t make the warriors when they were absolute rubbish, anyone that expected him to be a top 17 player had obviously never watched him.

Just about) had him in their first choice 17 after he had been really really average for a poor Warriors outfit, he does appear like a really good bloke but he’s slow, doesn’t make metres doesn’t have any sort of skill in terms of
Passing/offload and has terrible hands,
yes better than most people posting on the GH but if that’s the precedent we are even further from a premiership than I thought
Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
Poor bloke, that's about as bad as a hammy gets these days isn't it?
He'd had a rocks or diamonds night but he has a red hot go, I liked the cut of his jib soon as he came on board and was just tearing about super eager and bugged and butterfingers but hard as hell to tackle and fracturing his skull and coming back just as fearless.
We'll miss him but Oldfield has done very well in his opportunities, quite confident he can do well.

8 weeks for a hammy. Surely a misprint?
Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
Could be longer.
Re: Rapana out for eight weeks with hamstring injury
Grade 2 is max 8 weeks, if he's torn it off the bone it could be 3 to 4 months which will be the season

Didn't look good at the time. He was in the sheds, iced up and clearly in discomfort. He looked like he could barely move.

Ravalawa wont get a look in anytime soon due to Ricky's inability to bring in talent at the right time, he will end up at a Sydney club to become the next Vunivalubonehead wrote: ↑June 9, 2018, 6:17 pm nice to see Ravalawa blooded but won't happen
