Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Last year's Origin series win was really high up there as an achievement. QLD should not have won, NSW had the better side, but it was up to Smith and Cronk to manufacture it. Yet again they found a way, and I just think it was a much bigger achievement than they will get credit for.
I think this year it would have been an even bigger ask, and it's a good time to go.This would have been his last year anyway, and QLD really need to renew the side as they will be chasing the Blues for a few years now.

Wasn’t long ago Qlders said NSW had no spirit, that you’d never see a Qlder retire from rep footy while still playing NRL, this year there’s now what JT, Smith and Cronk?

Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing for NSW, JT and Smith have been nowhere near their usual standards.

Yep no JT and now no Smith, not sure the NRL refs will be up to the task.

Poor Queensland will be scrambling to name a chief grub.

Fortunately they have plenty of worthy candidates.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

One of the finest players ever to lace up a boot and NSW won't get the opportunity to give him a send off. No Cronk, No JT, No Smith this year for Qld. Freddy Fittler in his first year in the SOO coaching role must believe in the adage 'timing is everything'.

Congratulations on a fine Rep career Cameron Smith. (Yes I am a Blue Through and Through New South Welshman.)

I haven't forgiven him for dropping the knees into our already busted Capt Croker and never will.

You can cover the bloke fairy dust.

He's a grub..

Because you are a NSW supporter and Jake Friend sucks? That's the only reason I'd pick him. His own fans are booing him off the field he's that bad

That came back to bite them though Finchy, turns out the bloke was playing through a cracked sternum for a few weeks because the Roosters were having a mini-injury crisis and he played when most other blokes wouldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I don't love the bloke but he's been consistent for them for a long time and he is tough as anything.
We continue to **** about with blokes that are part of some fraternity. It's infuriating.

Anyone who's got a problem with Jake Friend, has a problem with me
St Jake as he is now known in circles around the gambling world prove his worth in this game

http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/seaso ... mmary.html

With about 20 seconds left in the game, ball in hand, Roosters up 18-14, he could simply take a tackle and win a game... instead he kicked what seemed like a meaningless FG to put the roosters up 19-14.

Meaningless, except for those of us on the Roosters -4.5. St Jake is a greatest human being that has ever lived and im willing to die defending his honour.

So who wants some first?!!

Haha, I'll bite. I have a problem with Jake Friend. He's bog average. No running game, poor kicks. A poor man's Robbie Farah, who can't even make first grade these days.

Go.
