Jarryd Hayne says he doesn't want to walk out on the Gold Coast Titans

JARRYD Hayne has denied reports he wants to quit the Gold Coast Titans. Currently participating in the Rugby League World Cup with Fiji, The Daily Telegraph claims Hayne wants to move to Sydney to be closer to his family and is said to be considering all possibilities, including rugby union. But the man himself told Channel Seven he has not asked the Titans for a release.

Hayne should sleep less, it seems to be a dangerous pastime of his, causes all these dreams!

Interesting to listen to what he said though and what the Titans said

Titans said they had not received a "formal request" from Hayne or his manager for a release from his contract.

Hayne said he had not been looking into leaving the Titans and returning to Sydney and pointed out his manager does all his contract talks and he was focusing on the Fiji side.

So I translate that to his manager has had informal talks with the titans regarding Hayne leaving and most likely informal talks with Parra, Dogs, Roosters etc regards to Hayne's latest dream.

The Gold Coast is a great place to get things that help you sleep less...

Titians management should be on the phone to Haynes manager telling them if he wants a release they will give him a full release immediately.

And then spell it to them that if he doesn't want an immediate release, then at any stage of the season he requests it he will be required to pay back any monies payed to him

I know they’d have to keep paying a player a lot of money but they could always refuse his request when he asks

Jarryd Hayne comes clean over Gold Coast Titans exit plans

JARRYD Hayne has reportedly begun telling senior Gold Coast Titans officials he does not intend to return to the club in 2018.

While Hayne has repeatedly denied the reports he is on the way out at the Titans, the former NFL running back on Thursday officially asked for a release with a full season still to run on his contract.

OFFICIAL: Gold Coast Titans release Hayne

The Gold Coast Titans confirm that Jarryd Hayne and the club have mutually agreed to a release from the final year of Jarryd’s contract.

Jarryd has expressed his gratitude for the opportunity the Titans provided him during his time with the club.

"The last 16 months have been testing and joyful all wrapped up into one. I thank the Titans members, fans, Board, staff and players for what they have done for me and my family over that time, with special mention Rebecca Frizelle, Graham Annesley and Anthony Laffranchi,” Hayne said today.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time on the coast, I love the community and the laid-back lifestyle. I thank every person, fan and sponsor that I ‘ve met during my time here and wish the Titans all the best in 2018.”

Titans Chief Executive, Graham Annesley, said that Jarryd is one of the biggest names in the game and recruiting him last year had demonstrated the Titans can compete with any other club in the game for marquee players.

“There is no doubt his signing was the biggest coup in the Titans short history, and although it hasn’t worked out as everyone had hoped, including Jarryd, the club has benefited in many ways from his presence. We wish Jarryd nothing but the best for his future both on and off the field,” Annesley concluded.

If so isn’t it out there that Henry didn’t want him? I wouldn’t have wanted him as a titans fan either.

Graham Annesley should go, talk about throwing the coach under the bus.

Disgraceful!

As for Parra, I had great respect for Brad Arthur and thought he should have at least been mentioned for origin. They are in the same place the Titans were a year ago, improving now they make a stooooooopid decision.

Most overrated bum EVER.

From what I've heard and read Hayne was not the sole reason for Henry being punted.
Not even the main one.
But Hayne is a massive wanker so who cares.

Odds have plummeted for Brad Arthur to be first coach sacked in 2018.

Look there is every chance that it was out of Brad Arthurs hands. There would be people there that want their prodigical son to come home and are thinking of the $$ rather than the good of the team. It is Parra after all.

So true.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Rebecca Frizelle and Darryl Kelly win battle for Gold Coast Titans licence

The NRL has reportedly approved the sale of the Gold Coast Titans to former co- owner Darryl Kelly and ex-chair Rebecca Frizelle.

The consortium beat off a rival bid from Brisbane-based businessman Stuart McAuliffe with the deal to be announced on Thursday. Several prospective owners including the North Sydney Bears and Brisbane Bombers NRL bid expressed interest in taking over the club.

Yeah, I'd be selling the club if I'd just signed a 34 year old Michael Gordon on a 2 year deal as fullback too.

Whilst it would be a stretch to predict them making the 8 I think they will trouble plenty of teams.

Brennan will breathe some fresh air into them the ownership saga is over. They not hav the media distraction of the Hayne Plane and they are every chance of nabbing a few signings to boost the team.

I’m thinking 10th

There is still some quality in the forward pack of theirs, a decent hooker and now a reliable goalkicker.

Their season ultimately will come down to Ash Taylor’s output, this will be his 3rd full year in 1st grade and time to really start delivering on his talent.

We have them round 1, should be an interesting game.

They’re going to be a better team with Gordon, Hayne was totally useless in every aspect of RL.
