It'll be bloody four weeks before I get a weekend at home on the punt at my local.

Off to Agnes next weekend, then Ballina, then Vegas, and the following weekend I arrive back from America on the Saturday but will need to die for 48 hours before work!

The black opal is back on the march long weekend in 2018.

It would be awesome to get a home game on the Saturday night and roll into a GH day on the punt on the Sunday

Race 1 at Scone tomorrow - #2 Pompous

Debut run, but has trialed smartly. Currently $5 on SB. I'll keep an eye on it in the yard and if it looks well, I'll be having a punt.

Into $4.60 now. That's usually a fairly good indicator of something dodgy going on.

Only issue is, if it drops too short they might pull the horse back

Chaos in the yard, they're all over the place.

None of the horses have paraded all that well, Dreamy Belle probably best looking.

I'll still stick with Pompous.

At the request of Woodgers I'm providing a few tips this weekend. Tonight is the Group 1 Moir Stakes, a race meeting I've had the great pleasure of attending the past 5 years. Not this year as our horse is now getting old and fat in a paddock.

I think Russian Revolution will be very hard to beat based on his last run. $3.40 isn't spectacular odds though.

Don't be surprised if Terravista runs a big race at the nice odds of $12. He's at his best fresh and is a proven WFA horse.

Thanks NR. I went the enhanced odds on Russian Revolution and got it to $4.20.

Leader bias tonight is a bit of a concern. Hopefully he gets into a decent spot from the wide gate

Geez. Russian Revolution punctured badly. No idea why he went so poor.

I was worried about a blow out and had a bit each way on Viddora. Was a good thing beat.

When they get the light rail going at Randwick, I’d like to see them trial night racing. It looks fantastic at the Valley.

She Will Reign was super impressive. I think she’ll be top 3 in the Everest, with Redzel and Chautauqua.

Showtime showed plenty of heart in the last, he’s one that keeps improving. Got on him at $4.20 late in the piece

Keep an eye on Satin Slipper .. race 2, Randwick.

Looked sharp trialing, but I’ve never got much confidence betting on early 2YO races.
