Personally I am a big fan of scrapping the viking clap.

All it does is build up this false impression that we will be competitive.

Yep, I'm completely against the Viking Clap now too. It was great on special occasions, but now when it's done every home game it just fires up the opposition and gives our boys a sense of overconfidence they don't deserve to have

Yes. Where is he? Let me at the bugger...
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I love the Viking Clap. It's a shame that the players couldn't perform their jobs with the same level of enthusiasm.

Those gloves hardly look optimal for those cold, dead of winter games. Neither are the blankets we saw this year (or last year?) - way thinner than the usual material of that type. No idea why some of the scarves we've seen are so much thicker than everything else.

I guess cost is a factor, but unless you're one of those loonies that dresses like its summer or autumn on -3C game nights for the sake of fashion, you've probably already got gloves that are much better.

I know I'm not going to stop wearing proper gloves for some razor-thin hand wrappings with a Raiders logo.

Sorry to shed a little positivity on the thread but I'm really excited about getting membership in 2018. Three years without live NRL and I'm a little excited particularly when the membership is a similar cost to attending one game of your chosen sport in the US. I wanted to go see a Knicks game at MSG and the nosebleeds were US$180. It was something to go to with my wife but we ended up going to see the 'Lion king' instead - it was no 'Aladdin' but still good.

With the 'gold grandstand' option are you able to select which side of the ground you want to sit on?

Great products celebrating a great team.

Would mean a little more to me if they were offering discounts on the excellent Huawei P10 dual sim smart phone.

Hands up who hear uses an iPhone or Samsung instead of supporting the Raiders' premier partners?

If you already support our premier partners, which I am assuming that's what you are alluding to, why do you need a discount on their excellent Huawei P10 Dual Sim Smart Phone?

Yeah, I just picked up tickets for the 3 of us to watch the Celtics play Oaklahoma next year. Corner of the court, about half way up. Cost me about AU$190 each ticket.

On the other hand I can get a general admission Raiders membership and sit in the terraces (similar view to the NBA tickets) for $160 to cover the entire season. Of course you need to factor in the weekly psychologist fees for being a Raiders member, but it still probably works out to be cheaper per game.

Personally I won't be giving up my Apple products.

For that matter I far prefer the Barista Bros iced coffee to Dare, and I have made what I think are far better investment property decisions than Denman Prospect or DHA. (I know DHA is no longer a sponsor).

I also do my own tax return and have no need for an insurance broker. I reckon VB tastes awful. I also reckon that there a far better gear companies than ISC.

Hope that doesn't make me less of a supporter.

Love Apple products and would be stoked if we were to become the Canberra Apple Raiders. Backed by one of the world's biggest companies, the salary cap would be the only stumbling bloke.

Prefer Bentspoke beer to VB, though I don't mind a Swindler or Kosioszko either.

I will not buy a jersey that features one particular sponsor on it because of a very costly experience. :x Sooner that deal is over, the better.

However, now that I'm a week or two away from being semi-retired, I can finally attend more games. So, I'll be renewing my membership. :D
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.

MEMBER NO.: 4500 (before they changed the numbering system).
