Dugan out with Bird to centre, Moylan 14. Jackson out, Graham to start and Vaughan to the bench. The Graham/Maloney combo was deadly, and it pairs well with Pierce/Cordner.

But they won, so I doubt Loz will make any changes.

Dugan and fergo could both be replaced by players who would improve the team but there is no chance there will be any changes after that win.

I still don't understand josh Jackson. 7 runs for 31 meters and 31 tackles and the commentators were talking up what a good game he'd had. All I can think is that he must have some serious dirt on someone!

Same team, I accounted for a Blues win in SuperCoach so I don't want any changes.

Its all about me.

Dugan, Ferguson, Jackson and Woods should be punted imo.

Queensland should keep sending traffic at Hayne in game 2. Looked exhausted and lazy to me.

Other than for injury/suspension between now and SOO2, I would not be making any changes to the winning team. NSW were clearly dominant. Sure there are some things for players to work on, there always is, but why change a successful formula? Until Qld beats this side there should be no changes imo. Dare I say, success = 'pick and stick'.

It's hard to change a winning team and I think any changes will come from injuries but Dugan and fergo didn't have great games. They did a bad job of defending the cronk kick for their try and other than dugan's try saver all he did was run sideways.

Hayne did some good things but there was a play where he was beaten and was just jogging along behind the play, no effort to make up for the miss.

It was the blues forward dominance that won the game and the damage was done through the middle and back on the inside rather than down the flanks.

Massive fail in game 1 by not doing that more. NSW looked very vulnerable on the edges with Dugan and Hayne defending. QLD didn't test them enough there. Think thats where they missed Thurston who would generally recognise it during the game and take advantage. He is fair better at playing whats in front of him than Cronk, who follows the plan almost too meticulously.

Queensland's Josh Papalii urges Origin coach to give forwards a shot at redemption

Queensland enforcer Josh Papalii has urged Maroons coach Kevin Walters to give the forward pack a shot at redemption, backing players to make amends for a game-one defeat.

"Personally, I don't think changes would be good at this time," Papalii said. "I reckon you've got a few [Queensland] forwards there hurting from game one and ready to try to win the second one. That's just my personal thought, I'm not a selector. I've just got to make sure my name is read out and hopefully that happens."

I don't know why that wouldn't have been part of the plan at the outset though. Anyone who watched the couple of Titans games with Hayne at centre just prior to Origin could easily spot that Hayne had no idea defensively at Centre, he was caught out numerous times.

I'm not buying the story that Thaiday will be dropped. I reckon this team was "leaked" to fire up Thaiday for game 2, and we'll see him included in the actual team that gets named today

As a Blue I'm happy with that, he looked like one of the only forwards capable of making metres and creating trouble for the defensive line, he'll lose his impact in the middle.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Lots of changes for QLD. Glasby for Thaiday a big shock but otherwise its the team most expected for game 1.
