Re: Jordan Rapana
Rapana has been amazing this season and to think he nearly gave the game away to become a police officer.
He, like the rest of our boys thoroughly deserve everything they have achieved this season.

I've been a member of TheGH for a long time and only created a sig for him. By far my favorite player, always giving 110% and has even put his life in danger for us.

Who is he eligible for at the end of the season?
AUS, NZ or Cook Islands?

All of them, since he hasn't played for AUS or NZ yet. He'll play for NZ though.DJ89 wrote:Who is he eligible for at the end of the season?

Late in the game with Panthers on comeback. There was a loose ball and he blasted past 3 Panthers to dive on it. Pivotal play as it effectively took away their last chance. He simply wanted it more. Typifies the guy.

DWZ and Rapana would be so much better, but that would make sense.DJ89 wrote:Watch the NZ brains trust go with Nightingale and Manu.Notaroboticfish wrote:All of them, since he hasn't played for AUS or NZ yet. He'll play for NZ though.DJ89 wrote:Who is he eligible for at the end of the season?

Nope. Heard the NZ brains trust already contacted him months ago. That was huge! His hunger and desire is second to none. Should be an inspiration to other players. Imagine a T-Rex who wanted it as much as Rapa.Northern Raider wrote:Late in the game with Panthers on comeback. There was a loose ball and he blasted past 3 Panthers to dive on it. Re: Jordan Rapana
I doubted him on his hands only but he just showed time and confidence was all he needed.
I was excited about Waqa as a dedicated winger outside Beej this year but every time Raps gets the ball I sit more to the edge of my seat. Defensively very sound too.
Congrats on a massive season so far Raps.

When it comes to players going to the next level and beyond unexpectedly he is a mile Infront of second in my eyes.
Credit to the bloke, he came here looking for a chance, grabbed it with both hands and is now amongst the top wingers in the league.
Long may it continue

This is what makes him so great. Does not give a single **** if we have the ball or not, how far ahead or behind we are, who the opposition is or if his skull is cracked. He goes balls out to influence the matchNorthern Raider wrote:Late in the game with Panthers on comeback. There was a loose ball and he blasted past 3 Panthers to dive on it. It was good to here Mullins earlier in the week saying that he hoped Rapana scored ten and we that he was looking forward to seeing us win last night.Mullins_y2k wrote:Legend! I don't want him to break Mullins' 22 try record though!

He has had an amazing season. I don't care how much the media have gone on about Radradra, this is the best season I've ever seen from a winger.

<3 Raps.
22 tries is impressive, even more impressive is that most have been very good tries, like the one last night for example.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Was hoping he'd break the record and the captain would get his 300 last night for the crowd's sake, since I doubt either achievement will get the proper response in Melbourne.

Best winger in the comp. absolute legend of a player. I would say he's the most influential winger in the game right now. Take him out of our side and I don't think we win as many as we do this year.
I've also loved him since day dot so am very happy to reap what I have sown. Jordy Raps 4 PM.

His speed always surprises me. Never looks like getting caught when he breaks the line cleanly.
