Does it really need a spoiler tag? I mean if you are dumb enough to open a thread about a TV show expecting that there will be no discussion on that TV show you deserve all of the spoilers that you get.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Post by Botman »

Touché
**** em

Read on at your own risk

Hated the way they killed off Doran
I thought he was one of the most interesting and underrated characters. My hope was he was going to really come on strong this season.
Seemed like he had a real plan and was ready to strike.
Disappointed

Otherwise it's shaping up nicely. I liked seeing Theon start finding his swagger too

The Melissadre thing was **** weird. Keen to see where they are going with that

Spoilers

I'm Meh about Doran getting knocked off. The Sand Snakes are gunning for all out war.

It was a good episode all round. So much in play.

Yeah the upside of Doran getting smoked is the Sand Snakes being in charge. Suppose they'll call their banners and launch a full scale war

From what I've read we're going to see the Iron Islands get more involved this season so that should be good.

If GRRM every **** releases the next book, it'll be interesting to see how the show and book differ.
Doran definitely seems destined for a bigger role in the books

Spoilers

Ahead

I love the posse that Daenerys has in Meereen/looking for her... the Imp, the Eunach, Ser Jorah, Grey Worm, Missandei, Daario Narahis... that is a great crew.

I'm glad Sansa finally has Brienne in her service, and hopefully Theon's character can recover into something respectable.

I was a bit disappointed with Doran dying... thought there was more potential there, which I also said when Oberon died.

The necklace is magic. When she removes it she is revealed for what she really is, a withered old crone.

Loving Ramsay.

Yeah agreed. First ep was a little underwhelming because it kind of had to be in order to set the season up, this ep delivered in spades.

The Iron Islands look to be moving on, Ramsey has his **** going on, the last scene gets us to where we all knew it was going, Tyrion's work with the dragons... it's all starting to move towards something significant. Itching for the next ep

Can't wait till he rocks up to Castle Black expecting to see 40 men and sees a horde of wildlings, and a **** giant.

Although from the previews and what people are speculating it looks like next week he's gonna be even more hated!

Looks like we've got quite a lot more Ramsay left. Rickon and another useless direwolf. Seriously, apart from Ghost, they've all been nothing. I suppose Nymeria is still out there. Which brings me to...

Finally some good scenes with Arya again. I do wonder what role she's going to have going forward. Her list has been such a recurring thing throughout the series. Though she seems very far removed from Cersei now, let alone Super Mountain. Still think the Hound is alive, always thought he is the one to finish his brother for good.

Liked the Tower of Joy scene (with Bran). Looking like it's going to be drawn out too.

Bran's direwolf is still alive isn't it. I'm pretty sure that the Hound was dead in the books

It's left open in the books about whether the hound is alive or dead
I think he's alive and will be the faiths champion against the mountain in the trial by combat to come

My memory is that there were people pretending to be the Hound because they stole his helmet off his corpse. We'll see I guess. Eventually.

Yeah there was people pretending to be him, but there was a grave digger in the books who resembled him who it's theorised is Sandor Clegane reborn again as a son of the Seven and is hanging out at the Quiet Isle. The hound is dead but Sandor lives... Or so people on the internet say

But he could just as easily just be dead

I know by now surely people won't read here if they are worried about spoilers... but just in case... spoilers ahead:

Got a chance to catch the latest episode last night, have really really enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd episodes so its looking like a cracking season.

I'm one for the belief the hound is still alive and always interpreted the books that way as they weren't obvious about it one way or the other. Like EJ I too think he's destined to fight finish the mountain... surely. Can't wait for that scene when he does. Speaking of which, really liked seeing the sword of the morning in action, great part of the episode.

I knew John was destined to leave the wall at least temporarily but assumed he would remain the commander of the Knights watch while he did so. Given most decisions he has made to date has been the "Selfless/Greater good" type, I imagine he's going to head south, **** some people up and clean it up a little and return back to the wall with reinforcements. After all, he knows the biggest threat is still the white walkers rather than all the throne garbage.

Lastly I'm really keen to finally find out a bit more about the Arya storyline and am also extremely disappointed in the dire wolves (with the exception of ghost).

Edit: Although I guess Rob's wolf was pretty beastly until the red wedding, whatever it was called.
