Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Peanut Butter or Vegemite.

Probably the biggest issue this thread has faced, imo. For me there isn't a stand out, and I'd hate to lose one for the rest of my life. Gun to my head, PB gets the nod.

Im with raider bell on this hands down the hardest question to date. When hungover i always have one peanut butter(crunchy) and one vegemite on toast. Both have their uses outside of toast too... peanut butter can be used for satay chicken and vegemite can be used to make outback hooch... It is such a **** dilemma. I suppose I would have to say Vegemite as I have a problem with alcohol that just tips it over, but I would really be upset without peanut butter. Good question.

I thought I was the only one! Love the subtle sweetish aftertaste of promite.

Anyone else a fan of pecks fish-paste? Salmon and lobster spread is a particular fave of mine although I'd never knock back a serve of lightly spread anchovie paste smothered on a slightly over-cooked piece of well-buttered white toast.

Oh no, fish paste, any sort, is the worst! Promite... When there is Vegemite in the world, why would they even make Promite?

Well I've missed the last few pages (which apparently I'm going to have to go back and read if it lead to nickman preferring promite over anything at all and a superb michael gif from GE. However as for initial question, think I'll take Wine. Tough call as i saw good arguments for beer (namely fishing, camping, the game and such) and I think spirits would provide the most variety but I think I just enjoy a good wine too much. Probably white but not certain.

For food poisoning? What are we talking here, eat free for the next meal or telling the wife to start looking at new cars?

Can't really say as part of the settlement was confidentiality. But some figures quoted here and you and probably get a rough idea

Well that's probably fair enough Pigman.

With the two of you suffering what must have been a absolutely horrendous illness + loss of sick / annual leave days for that period.

Did it turn you off that type of food for good?

Yeah it was a disgusting 5 days.

My wife took a long while before she'd eat runny eggs or Mayo etc
She was pregnant at the time and we almost lost the baby so she was shaken up quite a bit by it

I was back on the horse once the symptoms cleared up, because I'm Pigman haha

A premiership. Who cares if you win the spoon now and then if you're also winning it all.
