Congrats to the Greenhouse for 10 years and many more to come I hope.
A huge thank you to those people that started it and to those that have kept it going.
I don't post very often, but come to find out what's going on.
Some of the piss take on here is so so funny and some of the argumentative stuff, I'll just leave it at that.
I love game day on here. Some of the stuff people write, makes me laugh.
Funny thing is, I sit there yelling the same thing at the TV, and the neighbours know exactly how the Raiders are going.
Love the Greenhouse, thanks everyone you make it so special.

well done everyone and happy birthday!

I agree with what has been posted before GE deserves a lot of credit for what he has done for the raiders and their fans. This place is pretty special and I dont think there is a club forum run as well as this or as active as this one is

One of my favorite THEGH moments was a few years back now sitting in the computer/internet room of a backpacker hostel in Exmouth (called potshots :) )pressing refresh refresh refresh and getting excited as we beat the dragons. It was like I was watching the game in words.

1 little raiders fan on the other side of the country getting excited with everyone back here !

Full marks to the founders of this site and to the GH Hercules otherwise known as GE. The time, effort and quality he puts in throughout the year is outstanding.

Then when you meet him is he all class in 'real life' as well. To sum up the feeling of most on here - even at State of Origin time - RESPECT.

GE deserves more respect, thanks and appreciation than anyone else involved in the GH. It is solely due to him that the GH exists today, and in such numbers. It is him alone who has been the driving force behind our growth and development.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I've always wondered what GE looked like. I thought Dubby was taller as well.

That's actually the wrong way around.

It is actually impossible to stare at GE for longer than a few seconds without being blinded by the light.

Plus you also cop a two-week mandatory ban.

Sure beats The Nickman who is a mix of Darren Lehmann and Uncle Fester.
Avatar Bet - bleedgreen99 - Raiders to make (BG99)/miss(Lucy) the 8. Avatar from last round of regular season 2015 until GF 2016.
Signature Bet - Raider85 - Raiders to get(Lucy)/miss(R85) the wooden spoon. Signature for entire offseason.
Bottle of something to the value of $70 - Matthew Borewood to not see (Lucy)/to see (Piggles) a first grade game in 2015 for the Warriors.
The Name Change Bet - Regarding the three bets above;
I win all three I keep my name.
I win one I become "the Punish"
I lose all I become "Chicken Little"

GE getting far too much credit. This place runs itself - Nick and I deserve all the plaudits.

Who would have thought ten years ago that the Canberra Raiders section would one day be more active than the Social Forum.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Weren't you a guest writer for one episode?

It was a random from the USA that won. And he never paid the miserable SOB.

I was reading some episodes a while back. They are terrible  . The Greenhouse only came to fruition after the very successful run of The Apprentice. Mike83au was a dead loss in winning that too - he never completed the assignment I gave him to do
