Just watched this one , didnt enjoy it TBH , street brawl essentially , less about MMA skills.

Also unfair matchup , the size difference was very noticeable

I see Manu from Kitchen rules has a hobby as the ref for this

That is the sort of crap that gives MMA a bad name and will get it banned.

Two blokes wailing on a bloke on the floor is hardly sport, and i'm an MMA fan.

Watched the main card today

Werdum / Browne was a good fight , Werdum just picked him apart . Browne had power but failed to connect , one of his uppercuts if it connected would have sent Werdum out of the cage.

Tate is just gorgeous , a very good 3rd round got her over the line

I didn't see most of the card but the main event. I must admit, I have a big crush on Meisha Tate!
Tuf nations was super disappointing, however I think this new American season is going to be good. Good coaches and the fighters seem to be quality as well.

Im in Vegas this week and able to go n see barao vs tj. Spoilor alert if you havent seen it but tj dominated...the crowd went bananas, there were heaps of brazilians in the crowd cheering strong for barao but they stood and clapped after the finish.

I was in the cheap seats, in furtest corner and heard that slam by DC on Dan Hen

That was an incredible performance!! TJ is one of my favourite fighters so I couldn't be happier with that.
DC and Lawler absolutely dominated, they should both be next in line for the champs.

Great card hey! I can't believe how easily TJ tore apart Bararo.

Cormier is a beast of a wrestler as well. Looking forward to seeing him against Jones. Hopefully Dana gets that matchup done - be nice to see another one of his favourites taken down but i just want to see the fight either way. I think it could very well go the way of Sonnen/Spider part 1 so will be good to watch.

As for Lawler. How good is the Welterweight division now that GSP is gone - more knockouts is great for everyone. Just wish Diaz would step up and commit to more fights as well.

Not sure if you guys seen but Diego Sanchez vs. Ross Pearson yesterday was the worst judged (corrupt) fight so far. Ross dominated in every round but Diego gets the win, 1 judge had Diego the winner of all the rounds.

Saw that. There is no way Todd Carney ( Pearson ) should have lost that.

Did I hear a 30-27 score ? What were these judges watching ?

You shouldnt leave it to the judges but Pearson did eveything but finish the fight

Updated: Controversial UFC star Chael Sonnen retires from MMA

UFC middleweight and light heavyweight Chael Sonnen (28-14-1) has announced his retirement from mixed martial arts.

In the wake of his failed drug test yesterday, Sonnen was pulled from the UFC 175 fight card before going on air to tell his side of the story.

Despite plans to appeal his suspension, the three time UFC title challenger decided to call it a day on his professional fighting career this morning.

"I want to officially announce my retirement from competitive mixed martial arts," Sonnen said on UFC Tonight.

Yeah. With Jonah Lomu one of the best Ausdie Rules footballers ever. And in the prelims he was talking about Jake Matthews' AFL past and said Aussie Rules is huge in New Zealand with the All Blacks.

Looks like Chael is goneski's now... failed another drug test and has been kicked of the FOX set and it was just a couple months back where Dana white was saying he thinks Chael could be the next UFC president.

lol i was watching the backpage yesterday and they were talking about the Mike G comment about Lomu being a AFL great but they called Goldy Bruce Buffer instead and said oh Bruce is a boxing legend, then said what they thought Bruce's catch phrase was.. lets get ready to rumble. It gave me a good laugh as they were trying to bag out the UFC commentator for getting someones sport wrong when they were doing the same and more.

Sonnen was a hack anyway. Kept getting title shots solely because he could sell fights and trash talk.

UFC 175. Excellent card . What a great Middleweight championship fight between Machida and Weidman.

and WOW , Rousey , just WOW. 2nd fastest knockout in UFC history

Uriah Hall would have to be one of my favourites , not his best fight but I dont blame him with the bone of his toe sticking out for most of the fight.

Ok onto the TUF finale now.

Yes wow Rhonda Rousey what a machine, her Judo with the arm bar was good enough to make her unstoppable before but now she has killer hands... freaking beast mode.

Great MM title fight, I was hope Machida can get it done but a lot of respect to both fighters, hopefully Machida can win a couple fights and get another shot.

Poor BJ Penn today, it was one of the worst performances i've seen so fan in the UFC and it came from one of the greatest.

Does anyone else get the feeling the UFC is in a bit of a low point atm? They've lost a lot of superstars in the last couple years and not many have jumped in to to replace them. What's made it worse is their decision to increase the amount of fight cards which has thinned out the talent... like the next PPV which is less than a month away doesn't even have a Main Event announced yet and no current champ is able to save the card. Though the last PPV that just passed had 2 title fights and from what I've read didn't rank that great compared to others in the PPV buy department thought could also be that the supporting fights weren't that great.

Just watched the UFC Fight Night from Dublin main card.

Some enjoyable fights , the Irish have some talented fighters , Im not a fan of the wrestling thats in the UFC and the yanks have a fair share of wrestlers , but these Irish guys wanted to stand mostly and bang and when they went to the ground it was to ground and pound or for a submission.

And what a home town crowd , they made some noise

Cannot wait for this fight. This might be the first real test for Bones Jones. Cormier is a bit of a beast but Jon uses his kicks well to keep an opponent at distance.

First real test? Gustafsson more or less beat him.

I think Jones will make short work of Cormier, I've only seen Jones be troubled by length. Hope it's a good fight though.
