The blog site has some good reading about new features and a guide through the comp, it will have this seasons injures and stuff like that. You can sign in to the bench here if you want or log in to it, it will just redirect you.

2014 Scoring Summary

Try : 4

Line Break : 2
Line Break Assist : 2
Work Horse : 4
Double Work Horse : 8
Field Goal : 1
40/20 : 2
Sin Bin : -2
Send Off : -4

Bench Scoring : Positions 14 and 15 are for your Forwards to score a Work Horse. Positions 16 and 17 are for your two backs, if you put a Forward in one of these positions they wont get a WH.

Finals Series : Top 6

Termination/Squad Changes : 50

Kicker Points : $15- this year the kicker points have a $ sign next to the number, but it works the same as last year.

Work Horse and Double Work Horse : Back Row, Front Row and Hooker need to get 40+ tackles and hit ups to get a work horse.
For a double work horse Back Row and Front Row need to get 60+ tackles and hit ups plus 120 running metres, Hooker needs 50+ tackles and hit ups plus 100 running metres.

Player Restrictions : This year we don't have any player restrictions when drafting our squad. In previous years we had player position limits like - 3 fullbacks, 3 half backs, 8 back rowers, 6 centres, 6 wingers ect..... Not any more its up to you to keep a tab on what positions you draft.

Unfortunately this year we don't have the Captain with Double Points available, it will be added back in for 2015.

I will create the Comp after it opens on Saturday, then I'll pm everyone the competition token to join the comp.

After you sign up to the site a pop will appear with create a comp - just close it. You will see Clubs, Competitions and Leagues on the page, go to Clubs at the top, then click on Add Club, then you copy and paste the token in and submit.

Drafting will commence after everyone has joined up, so it might be a few days or a few hours after.

Nothing much happening here GE, we have had a little wind but its all good, its not even raining, Yet.

Its going to cross near Ayr or Bowen I think, or anywhere between Townsville and Proserpine, it will only be a Category 1 or 2 so no big drama apart from king tides that are happening at the same time, Cairns and Townsville have has some minor flooding because of the tides today.

I'm sure the Bruce Highway will be cut tomorrow after it crosses and dumps a heap of rain though, it might all head down to Nickman in Rocky.

Actually my back door won't shut due to how desperately we need rain.

A few days of rain will sort it out. It started last night and the wind's really picking up.

Re: NRLCEO 2014 : The GH Premiership - Draft Thread

Post by Millsy »

I have all the setting and stuff done, Mike has looked over things and its ok, the captain and double points option wasn't going to be available this year but the nrlceo guys have worked away around it, I am now just waiting for an email from them on how to add it for us.

The points scoring is the same as last year apart from the 40/20 being 2 pts instead of 1. I have now changed out bench scoring to what is was last year, positions 14 and 15 on your bench are for forwards - they can score a WH try, positions 16 and 17 are for two backs, but you can put forwards but they wont get a WH in those two positions.

We will use the Random Draft - one round you could be 1st pick the next you could be 5th and so, I think over 25 rounds it should even out for everyone, its much better than being stuck in one position every round.

I will post up the scoring info later up in the first post with the teams.

No one has started drafting.

You are able to select a player as the GCR's found out  while playing on the site.

If anyone does happen to select a player by accident, let me know and I can reset things before we start drafting.

We will start drafting after Lurch joins up.

I'll pm everyone beforehand.

Few questions, apologies if you've answered them.

Were we doing any keeper players or nah?

With the draft, is there a cut off time to make your selection?

Is it still 15 kicker points per team?

Its ok mate.

We can't do a keeper league beause both our divisions are in the one comp with promotion/relegation.

Yep still 15 kicker points - they are still a number next to the players when you draft, but its a dollar value - $7 is 7 kicker points.

The scoring is the same as last year apart from a 40/20 is now worth 2 instead of 1 pt, I'll post up the scoring summary soon.

This year we are unable to have a captain with double points. They have an option in the settings to select a bonus position and put in captain, it has been used and work for the AFL comp is previous years but when NRLCEO tested it out it didn't work and now its too late to add it in, they would of had to reset the site.

But its the same for every comp across NRLCEO this year so no big deal, it will be added for next year.

If you want to post up some banter, click on your team and the banter page is on the right, just post in the box, I'm not sure where it is on the app.

We also have a notice board the admin can post stuff in, I did a little write its on the banter page on the left side down low.

We can use the notice board to post up any nrl news like injuries and stuff.

McSquid I forgot to mention - 24 hrs for the draft.

But hopefully no one needs that much time

If we get a chance it would be good to try get on one night or on a weekend and to get through the draft a little quicker.

We used the 24 hour draft last year in the championship, went pretty well.

The quick drafts seemed to fail miserably in comparison.

Guys I posted up the scoring summary in the first post with the teams have a read through, it has info on how forwards get a WH and DWH ect...

Also read about the player restrictions when we draft, we don't have them any more, so its up to us to keep a tab on how many players we draft in each position now. It will be interesting indeed.

Drafting etiquette.

There is a scenario where you can draft out of turn , please wait for your turn .

We are all able to see the log on the banter page. If there has been drafting done before it should be , that player will be deleted from your squad and put back into the pool where there is every opportunity for someone else to draft.

Second point . When the time limit expires for your draft , a player is picked from random and it then moves onto the next person or the competition manager can also choose to skip that person who has not made a selection in time.

I'll start the draft after lunch sometime and pm everyone the first 2 rounds - this will be the order for the entire draft. I decided to stick with the snake draft instead of random.
