Lana del Ray
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Not too bad mate. Money God is an absolute classic. Hungry town is good too.
Re: What are you currently listening to?
Just on the Hottest 100 stuff, if you're into spoilers, this prediction was pretty accurate last year. Not sure how it will fare this year as the makers had a smaller sample size to work with (since triple J took away the usual option to share your vote on social media).

The Hottest 100 took a serious hit in credibility when Thrift Shop stormed into number one last year.

Yep, definitely. Of Monsters and Men should have taken it.

First ever hip hop song to win the countdown. Bit of a shame that it had to be that particular song representing the genre.

And it was so easy to tell that it would fizzle out in a week or so.
Every song that finishes #1 remains legendary for life, Thrift Shop really didn't fit the bill.

Dubby's favourite album is the spaghetti incident, he has it on high rotation in his car.
A bit sad really. I tried to talk him out of it but he insists.
