The Greenhouse - now in its 10th season

The Greenhouse - now in its 10th season

Image

Today is the ninth birthday of The Greenhouse, and we now enter our 10th season as still the biggest and best Canberra Raiders supporters site on the net!

We have almost 2,500 members of the forum, over 15,500 followers on Facebook and over 2,500 on twitter. On all our social media platforms, including Instagram and Pinterest, we have around 22,000 followers. We have doubled our following in just the past year.

Whenever big news breaks, it is The Greenhouse the supporters come to. And whenever people want to know what Raiders fans are thinking, it is The Greenhouse they come to.

It's all thanks to you, the members and followers of the site.

But two people, Nick and Ed, deserve singling out, as the founders of the site. Without them, none of it would have been possible. Thanks to them both.

We promise to get bigger and better in 2014. Hopefully it's a premiership winning season!

No one likes Dave. :(
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

In all seriousness, Nick and Ed may have started the GH, but greeneyed really is the one who ensured its existence, success and longevity. Without GE , the GH doesn't exist.

Thanks mate.

And a huge thank you to everyone who had contributed over the years. I've met some really great blokes as a result of this forum, men who love the raiders and rugby league.
I've enjoyed arguing, discussing and everything else with each of you.

I would also like to thank GE, Ed and Nick (and all the mods) for making such a fantastic and addictive forum. I'm only 4 days into my new job on the other side of the world, sitting down for the coffee and emails morning ritual, and sure enough, the GH creeps onto my screen.
