Where'd my post go?
Man, deleting the post [*EDIT*] is getting a bit sensitive isn't it? I even did the right thing and wrote 'alledged'.

Your thread was deleted from the forum because we are concerned about speculating on the outcomes of a pending court case. I think it's best we just avoid speculation of the outcomes... and people deserve presumption of innocence.
But if you know/ no anyone who knows about the legal issues in regards to what we can/ can not talk about, please get in contact with us, we would appreciate any help

i can understand why you're being carefull, and fair enough....better to err on the side of caution. But the press speculate on outcomes of court cases every day. Paris Hilton for example....Sylvester Stallone as well after the customs incident.
For example "Paris Hilton could face up to 'X' years in prison". It wont influence anything, its all speculation, but it is pretty common and harmless.
Anyway, re the initial post...just interested.

Guys I am no lawyer, but I suggest you try to source some info from the group that publish this summary (they look like they may have info sheets etc that they will send out): http://www.efa.org.au/Issues/Censor/defamation.html
Also found this Aus govt info: http://www.e-strategyguide.gov.au/websi ... defamation
I think you are wise to play it safe until you can confirm what you can and cant allow to be published, although it looks like you might be able to limit potential liability with some well tailored disclaimers. This would apply not just to this Carney issue, but really anything that gets said on the forums.
