All you do is paste the URL of the media on another site and then put the media code around it. You get the code by clicking on the little icon of a screen at the far right hand side of the commands above the response box.

The old YouTube code has been replaced, and the old YouTube video links are presently dead. nacho is working on a solution to that, but we might simply have to replace them manually, where that is needed.
So try it out! And thanks again to nacho for all the work he does for the site and making it better and better!

It's magic! Facebook posts as well...
It is a much better mod than the old YouTube mod, as you just need the "share" link, no adjustment to it needed, as with the old YouTube mod.
I've now included a link to the list of supported sites in the original post. If in doubt, you can always play around in finding the URL or embed links at a site... and see if it works!

Awesome feature, but god I hate twitter.

Why the Twitter hate?
Gives people a voice that seriously don't need to be heard.

Suspect that’s true of any social media. It’s probably worse on Facebook in that regard. But it is the way of democracy. Our Twitter community is very smart and they’re nice people too... so we have good interactions there. Plus it is the best place for breaking news.
It is perhaps more worrying for me that false accounts get established for political reasons. There are a couple of great documentaries around... I think both on Netflix. One shows precisely how a Russian state entity intervened with fake profiles in the 2016 US Presidential election. The other explains how Facebook works... and which allows actual “fake news”, not the Trump kind, and fake minority political groups to spread.

I can’t believe the commentators thought one of the passes was forward in the Chicka involvement.
Passes used to have to be deeply backwards under the old refereeing interpretations.
Yep, lots of forward passes let go these days. As bad as union.

It does seem to give error messages at times if you reply to posts with things embedded in them. I am sure it will be something that will get fixed. Not sure if anyone else has noticed.

Hmm thanks mate, I suspect that's a permissions thing more than a bug, I'll take a look

Seems that way. I can do it in literally any other board on the site except it.
Did some googling myself and it suggested it was permission based.
