Merry Christmas 2020 and Happy New Year 2021 from The Greenhouse
It is that time of year again... time to wish all the members and followers of The Greenhouse a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2020 was a year like no other, a very hard year for many around the world. It was also an NRL season like no other. And while the Canberra Raiders qualified for a Preliminary Final, sadly, the long wait for a fourth premiership continues. But the Green Machine heads into 2021 as a serious challenger for the title.
The Greenhouse continued to grow strongly this year. We now have just under 3,700 members of TheGH.com.au and over 30,000 unique users of the site on average per month - with a monthly peak over 45,000 users. The site averages over 1 million page views per month - with a monthly peak of over 2.2 million.
The Greenhouse Facebook page now has more than 43,000 likes... and just under 60,000 followers on Facebook in all our pages and groups. We also have over 8,000 followers on Twitter and 8,000 on Instagram. On all our social media platforms, including Pinterest, we have now have over 83,000 followers. That's around 25,000 more than in 2019.
It's thanks to you, the members and followers of the site, for continuing to make The Greenhouse the number one Canberra Raiders supporters website! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

Must be time to discuss monetising our content then? How much are we going to give Mariner per meme? The Greenhouse wrote:with a monthly peak over 45,000 users. The site averages over 1 million page views per month - with a monthly peak of over 2.2 million.
Merry Christmas Greenhouse! Hope you all have a great time with family where possible over the break.
Thanks to GE and the crew for running the site and making it the place to get all news Raiders related and discuss it.
Kisses gangers

I'm really surprised, actually, that our site stats improved on a Grand Final season in 2019... given the shortened season in 2020 and all the disruption. When the season recommenced, we had what must be a record month for page views.gangrenous wrote: ↑December 13, 2020, 10:51 amMust be time to discuss monetising our content then? Merry Christmas and a safe Festive Season to all the GreenHousers. Especially to Botman and Roger Kenworthy for kicking the site off and to GE and the admin team for having it run so well.
Glad to be able to post this. We have a mouse plague in regional NSW and the buggers ate through the NBN connection. Just fixed in the last 10 minutes. We are connected again .... yeehaaa .... until the next one gets hungry. Our Xmas wish is to be rid of the rodents.

I think it shows how desperate people were for a bit of normality and for some social connection. Arguably in a Grand Final season, you didn’t have to look to far to final someone to talk Raiders and rugby league with, but with the restrictions meaning it was hard to physically be in the same place as others, we turned to online platforms.greeneyed wrote: ↑December 13, 2020, 1:24 pmI'm really surprised, actually, that our site stats improved on a Grand Final season in 2019... given the shortened season in 2020 and all the disruption. I am extremely proud that we did 25 episodes of Greenhouse live including after every single one of our 23 games (we did a season preview and one after the trial is how I get to 25). For me personally, it was the most difficult time to be a Raiders fan when we couldn’t be part of the game and attend games. I am so grateful that by the time the games started again we could have people visit each other in the ACT (I don’t think it was ever fully banned) and we could have Matt and other friends over to watch the games together and then we could connect with other fans through Greenhouse Live.
If we were able to bring some sense of enjoyment normality to the lives of other fans through Matt and my ramblings, we were very proud to do so.
For all GH posters, I hope you have a great Christmas and look forward to 2021 where hopefully life at least in this country is reasonably normal and we get to see our team finally take home the silverware.

Merry Christmas, you beautiful lunatics
I tried not to argue as much this year, and my gift to you all is to double down and try to do it less again in 2021.
I love this stupid, crazy site and all who contribute to it.

What a crappy year. Bush fires, Covid and restricted travel/movement and not being able to support and celebrate our club how we normally would. I hope everyone has a good break over the coming weeks and I hope 2021 is a much better year. And **** Santa all I ask for is a premiership, is that so difficult to deliver you fat, lazy prick.

Happy Christmas, everyone.
It's nice to say that in a non-ironic way. Wishing someone a Merry Christmas over here leaves you liable for a slap.

Christmas came and went sans Raiders jersey.
2020 is just the year that keeps on biting us in the butt.
Bring on 2021 and the premiership.
All the best everyone!!

Morning everyone. I'm gerg and I've been sober for 1 days, smashing hangover yesterday. Wife left a brand new bottle of tequila on the bench Christmas eve with sliced lemon and salt next to it, and really... who can resist that sort of temptation?
Is it too early to open a cider, or do I have to wait for the first ball?
