TIPS: How to post YouTube videos on the site and more

Lots of people don't seem to know how to post YouTube videos on the site. It's very easy, and remember it's a requirement to use the YouTube code if you're posting YouTube videos on the site. This is so people can see what it is they might play.
This is a normal YouTube URL from a recent Mounties game:
To post a You Tube video on the site, copy and paste in the URL into your post.
Then delete everything before the = sign. It'll look like this:
Qn3o3DmSvks
Then select that remnant and just click on the YouTube code icon. That will wrap the YouTube code around it.
And you're done.

I can't even use the quote function properly, GE; now you're telling me how to post videos?
Good grief, one thing at a time.

That's straightforward. But if you want tuition, I'm happy to answer questions.

Would love some.
Ok, so in a nutshell, you know how people include multiple quotes within a post? How do I do that?

You may only automatically embed up to four posts when you multi quote, using the automatic post function. (It's actually five but I'm saying four because people can't count. )
The key thing to remember with the quote code is you need
up front. And then you need... (I will continue in the next post...)

And then you need
to end the code wrap around. For every one of the first, you need one of the latter.

To quote an individual, you first need
up front.

Then you need
to wrap it.
Those are the principles.
Once you know this, you could copy and paste whatever text you want from another post, put it between those code instructions, and you can respond to that. Then do it again, and again.

Whatever code you use, it needs, say,
(That's the standard GH colour)

And to end the wrap around of the text. To make text a colour.

If you want to bold text, you need to start...

And then to wrap at the end of the text you want to bold.

You almost never need to use the URL code. In fact all that does is stop the URL being shortened. Mostly, it's best to let the URL to be shortened automatically. Just include the URL in the post and that just happens.
When the URL code becomes useful is when you want something like this to appear:
If people woul like tuition on how to do that, let me know.

If you want to leave hidden text in your message wrap the text in the following with brackets closed [ /color]
Raiders will win by 17 points tomorrow night
Tomorrow's lesson will involve getting around the Suncorp Stadium filter to allow the naming right of a certain bank.

Is just Suncorp, the insurance company filtered? Or only Suncorp Stadium?

Ah, I see. I have to ask, what if we were discussing the merits of EDIT as an insurance company in the Politics thread or something?

Except I will edit those posts because I don't give companies who don't sponsor The GH any free kick and offend history at the same time.

Or EDIT which is underwritten by EDIT

When those companies pay us to use their names I'll do so.

Is that why Stadium Australia gets a free pass?
The Olympic stadium has a much more significant history to Australia and the NRL.. (highest ever crowd was at that venue)
Also been around slightly longer than the other place which only finished construction in 2003.

Thanks a lot for this, GE. I'm having some dramas trying to execute your instructions at the moment, but that's because I'm on my phone and it's rather difficult.
I will give it a nudge on the computer a bit later.

On Tapatalk just put in the CODE code, and substitute the word CODE for YouTube in both places.
