Some login issues...
I'm having a few issues, and wondered if an admin could help out.
I don't seem able to stay logged in, this used to be something of an issue with the old boards, now it's impossible to stay logged in from post to post. I don't think it's a cookies issue as it happens on all of our computers (and we have four!).
Another thing - today when I went to log in it told me that I exceeded the maximum attempts to login and had to pass the CAPTCHA test thing, which is odd as it was the first time I'd tried to login today. Seemed weird.
Thanks!

Make that your home page or bookmark and it has fixed these sorts of problems in the past.-LG- wrote:No, should I be?greeneyed wrote:dubby had these issues today. Puzzling.

I had some issues too.
I changed my password and it seems to have fixed itself.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Best PM me your password and I'll make sure your account is working properly.

Re: Some login issues...
Yes, it happened to me again yesterday, despite going through the link GE provided.
Re: Some login issues...
OK, so I have done a bit of research, and it appears that spam bots are now taking member names and attempting to "guess" passwords via "brute force".
phpbb says that it has nothing to do with the latest version of phpbb.
Please make sure you have "strong passwords". That is, make sure your password includes letters and numbers and capitalised letters and lower case letters. This will ensure that "brute force" attacks won't succeed.
I don't know what else to do, I'm afraid.
This is what phpbb is saying at the moment:
