The time has come for a general warning to all users of this forum.

It is time to tone down all the whinging and whining... on all sides of debates!

We want this to be a forum where people can have open and honest discussions and debates, but with that comes some responsibility.

To those inclined to be critical of players, club, coaches, management... those criticisms need to be constructive and reasonable. If you want to simply have a blind rant, type it out, then delete it, and start again. Have a decent think when posting something. We want an open forum, where criticisms can be made, suggestions made, questions raised etc etc. But don't go over the top.

To those inclined to stopping other people expressing their views... that needs to stop as well. We don't want personal attacks on people who are just expressing their opinions. There's far too much of that as well. Again, don't go over the top.

A couple of other things:

# those who persistently troll and innanely take topics "off topic" will have posts sent to the "Off Topic" thread. If you persist, you'll be officially warned for persistent trolling.

# those who persistently avoid the swear filters... stop it. If I notice it, you'll get posts edited and/or offical warnings for doing it. Reason being: the swearing takes the comments, and then fights, "over the top". That is why we have comprehensive swear filters.

You should all be aware that three official warnings end with a suspension from the site.

Frankly, I'm tired of all the whinging and whining on all sides.

If you wish to criticise the site, simply because it allows open debate, critical and otherwise, give it a break on that as well.

In sum, we've spent many dollars and a lot of time and effort making this forum as popular as it is today. We're expecting people to be a bit more tolerant of everyone. By all means disagree, agree, be critical, praising, but it is actually easy to communicate politely in English on this forum, and that's what we'd like to see more of.
Clarification sought on the above ... imo these requirements/rules are open to a very subjective response ... if you sit on the fence and never cirticise management/coach you are pretty well safe but if you are dissatisfied with the way this club is bening management/coached, and express those opinions, you could easily fall foul of the "law" (whatever that law is??).

What will be considered acceptable in the event of another loss, or maybe thirteen losses back-to-back? ... will different rules apply?

This should remain a forum of free speach ... not edited due to a subjective repsonse from a mod gone mad.

It says what it says. Critical comment is not censored, but we also don't want people putting up stuff like "Joe Bloggs is %$%# #$#$#" after a loss. We're getting a flood of complaints about ill thought through posts of that ilk.
