Not to be outdone by Chris Anderson, Supercoach EJ went into Round 1 of the GH Premiership trialling new ideas, with the Hurstville Hurricanes suitably playing the role of guinea pig. Among the myriad of revolutionary ideas, Supercoach experimented with Alan Tongue as goal-kicker, as well as employing the newly dubbed Soccer Conundrum, i.e. fielding only 11 players. The tactics were met with partial success.
Despite the loss, Supercoach said he could take a lot of positives out of the game.
"We've built a solid platform to build further on said platform"
Supercoach is currently going over his Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint slides of the game to determine where it all went wrong.
