The GH Premiership

Post by Nick »

LU looks like launching its fantasy NRL site tonight or at worst tomorrow, so ill be hosting (unless someone gets eger and beats me too it ) a comp over there for us. We need minimum 15 more teams to go with my team

the mighty ACT Avengers... Who are of course coached Mark 'Chopper' Read and his partner in crime CEO Cletus the slack jawed yokle.

The North Canberra Jets are set to make a big mark on this years premiership, watch out for CEO Peter Griffin, Coach Schifty and Fitness Coordinator Royston Lightning to show what they are made off.

Are you sure Legend will allow us to use the GH as our comp name in something that he's worked so hard for?

On a side note, R69 you were a punish to recruit against in VRL. You got Zillman in the end but I got Wiki. I'm happy.

I'm liking Chopper too.

haha i specialise in bidding wars, i was wondering who of my 22 man team i missed out on at the last minute
got 21 of them and couldnt for the life of me figure out who the missing man was.

Chopper is the man

It was a bad day to finish the recruiting though. A Saturday of all days. I'd travelled down to Canberra and had to use the gf's parents computer. I was out for the final hour of recruiting and expected to come back to an empty team but managed to get most of what i wanted.

What happened to Peter_Raiders? He signed two players, and one was Gasnier

And who are the other GH'ers in our comp?

Sign a goalkicker first. Oh and don't wait until a day after the free-for-all starts to recruit your players like I did

My team as a result of doing this?

1. Marshall Chalk
2. Colin Best
3. Steven Bell
4. Michael Crockett
5. Sam Perrett
6. Todd Carney (c)
7. Josh Lewis
8. Chris Armit
9. Michael Monaghan
10. Troy Thompson
11. Tony Puletua
12. Chad Robinson
13. Reni Maitua

14. Trent Cutler
15. Gavin Cooper
16. Mitchell Sargent
17. Shane Rodney

18. Riley Brown
19. Andrew Dunemann
20. Dene Halatau
21. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
22. Richard Mathers
23. Shannon McDonnell
24. Fui Fui Moi Moi
25. Taniela Tuiaki

Pretty craptastic in reality... I'm going to get smashed!

I've only done the bidding war, but my tip would be to secure a good goalkicker. For some reason I bid for Jamie Lyon, and didn't think that Orford may be the number one kicker. So I may be up sh*t creek.

 Sweet i got him. I gave up, didn't feel like bidding on anyone else. I'm waiting for this damn LU one to start.

Oh and BTW, No i'm not a total idiot. I was going to make a team of players who would play minimal first grade games so i could laugh at anyone who didn't beat me in the comp!

Same thing happened to me. My team's even worse than yours....so I entered a new league....and did it again. Not as bad second time around though.
