The Gilmore Grasshoppers have renamed themselves the Gargoyles in preparation for the 2006 reserve competition. Despite finishing in the top half of the 2005 Greenhouse Cup, an invitation was not extended to the Grasshoppers for 2006, something that coach Damon Booby is furious about.
The Gargoyles are excited about their chances for 2006, citing a great mix of youth and experience as their biggest positive.
They have already suffered one of coach Booby's famous selection furphy's however, with Carl Webb selected to start despite being unavailable for week 1, leaving the Gargoyles a man short for their first clash.
