I was in a tough position where I needed to win to hold my spot. The teams fighting for a finals spot are playing the bottom teams and should win.

Ladder - Final Standings

1. NQ All Stars.............................32........238
2. Portugallion.............................29.......154
3. Gosford Goblins.......................28........283
4. Sunshine Coast Smashers.......22.........44
5. Oakland Athletics....................20.........-8

8. Mexican Churros......................18........-79
9. The Applemen..........................15.......-174
10. Apollos Creed..........................8 ........-493

The NQ All Stars finished with 16 wins - 5 losses, the last 6 weeks have been pretty ordinary scoring wise, got the win on the weekend against The Applemen, that team has been running on auto pilot. I'm not too confident going into the finals, picked up a number of injuries of late and lost GI until Rd 24, but I do get two chances to try make this GF, the defending champs and guru Dominant Tackle missed the finals :D

Finals - Week 1

NQ All Stars - Bye
Portugallion vs Gosford Goblins - Preliminary Final
Sunshine Coast Smashers vs Oakland Athletics - Knockout Final

Reg Gasnier League of Legends Competition - Final Series

The two GH boys are seeded 2nd and 3rd for the Finals and are due to meet in Week 1. :thumbsup

I'm not too confident as Cronk's recent drop in form has been disastrous for both my comps so far. Either way, let's hope one of us can win the thing. :)

Finals Week 1 - Results

Sunshine Coast Smashers 71 - Oakland Athletics 34 - Knockout Final

Finals Week 2

NQ All Stars vs Gosford Goblins - Qualifying Final
Portugallion vs Sunshine Coast Smashers - Minor Semi Final

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Finals begin for the NQ All Stars with a big game against the Gosford Goblins in the GF Qualifying Final.

Round 2 - NQ All Stars 76 - Gosford Goblins 61
Round 11 - Gosford Goblins 46 - NQ All Stars 41
Round 20 - NQ All Stars 40 - Gosford Goblins 38

I'm without GI and now Corey Parker is injured again, you really can't be missing key players in the big games, but injuries and suspensions happen unfortunately, Parker will be a huge lose being my captain/kicker, my biggest threat will be a firing Benji, after what he did last night, yeah I'm worried, the Slater and Cronk show will have to continue again this week, need big games from these guys and Kevin Kingston as well who will likely take over as captain.

2012 ALLAN LANGER Legends

Results Finals Week 1

0 Briggsy's Dentites II 83 - [BYE-TEAM] 0 Bye
1 Wallalong EMUS 72 - Gold Coast Raiders 68 Preliminary Final
2 The Incudans 59 - Team Albert 19 Knockout Final

Finals week 2
1 Briggsy's Dentites II 0 - Wallalong EMUS 0 Qualifying Final
2 Gold Coast Raiders 0 - The Incudans 0 Minor Semi Final

GCR got beat by a halfback in Pearce who has done nothing all year , Benji just failed to conjure up the miracle , pulling us within 4 points in the end.

Briggsy's are the Gurus and favourites , Im cheering him on to beat the Emus so I can return serve the following week if I win this week. It would give me great satisfaction knocking the Emu's out.

Congrats to Smash em , minor premiers and hot favourites to win the big one.
Also congrats to the Colts an impressive year and well and truly in the hunt.

Duges , Im very grateful I dodged the wooden spoon , after assembling what I thought was a good team but it failed. Lacking a quality frontrower and missing Duges for lengths at a time looks like contributed to the dismal season and that the coach is dud

good luck fellas , I'll be cheering for you

Looks like both the Raiders boys lost in the Reg Gasnier League as well, although it wasn't a sudden-death match for me.

Only 2 teams to worry about from here on it, hopefully they both win the title. ;)

Big Mal Comp

Finals Week 2 - Results

NQ All Stars 36 - Gosford Goblins 58 - Qualifying Final
Portugallion 82 - Sunshine Coast Smashers 57 - Minor Semi Final

That was an absolute **** shocker of a weekend, plus another injury - Luke Bailey gone, my frontrow will be Adam Cuthberson and Glen Hall next week  I get Greg Inglis back and I'm praying Corey Parker returns, but I don't think he's playing this week, I'm going to need him, Portugallion and Cameron Smith will be tough to beat.

Finals Week 3 - Draw

Gosford Goblins - Bye
NQ All Stars vs Portugallion - Major Semi Final

My favorite forum member is 100%Green. Why? Because anyone who can convince my wife who runs two watch shops and doesnt realy like the Raiders to buy me a limited edition centenary of league Raiders watch is alright in my books.

It's hard god-damn work being a Raiders supporter!

BUCCA BULLDOGS CLAIM CHAMPION'S LEAGUE IN THRILLER!

Well the 2012 NRLCEO Legends of League season is officially over and winners are grinners and losers are left to lament what could have been.

There were some close matches with the Storm's late surge last night giving coaches some hope, however, Cam Smith's inability to feature heavily on the scoreboard halted many a comeback.

The winners will obviously now be invited into the 2013 Champions League where the Bucca Bulldogs will be waiting to defend their title. Perhaps somewhat controversially, the Bucca's ran out two point victors off the back of a contentious Ricky Leutele try assist. However, the Bulldogs have been rewarded for a consistent season and are no doubt stoked with their victory.

The unlucky runners up, Smash Em, would have been devastated to learn of their fate early this morning but they will go down in NRLCEO history as having had a fine season. They will also welcome another chance in the Champions League after being only one of two teams to go back to back, winning the Churchill Comp.

The other team and fan's favourite, was the Gurus who held onto a slim lead to register back to back titles in the very competitive Wally Lewis Comp. Quality took a while to rise to the top and in the end the old saying form is temporary and class is permanent rang true.....

Two other gurus lived up to their name and will join the best NRLCEO coach/guru in the Champions League. The Rock Hudsons and the Dentites are chomping at the bit to get a crack at the premier competition and the brutal staggered draft format. In sadder news, gurus and 2012 Champions League contenders, Team Enormous and The Last Dregs fell at the final hurdle and have not qualified for next year's CL.

Congratulations must go to all competitors who gave their all throughout season 2012 and we look forward to seeing an even bigger and enthusiastic turnout next season.

Congratulations also must go to the winners of each Legend of League Competition - you have battled hard and are now officially the last teams standing!
