Yes it is Ecz. You will have to do a pretty long list because going on past experience, a lot of the players you want, everyone else will want, so your list can diminish. But it is definately possible to do a whole draft from one list.

You guys can always consider doing 7 players in the draft one night, then have a night off for people to reconsider their lists, then 7 more players the next night etc.

That way people can redo their lists once they have seen who has been selected by their own team and others.

The choice is yours though guys.
When and how can we do the pre draft list ?
I'll let the GH know as soon as we are ready to go. It should be early next week, fingers crossed.

We found a few glitches in the system today that we will be working hard to iron out over the weekend and early next week. We really want to make sure we have the perfect product before we go live.

There's still a greenhouse fantasy comp on the Fox Sports website that was running last year if anyone is interested.

Looks like NRLCEO is ready to go! :D

I'd be keen for a draft tonight, but it may be too short a notice for others.
NRLCEO STAGE TWO is just hours from going live!

STAGE TWO means users can:

Create a competition,
Enter teams in a competition,
Enter players into a pre draft list, AND
Begin recruitment via one of the two drafting methods.

Competition creators are able to fully adjust the draft starting time at any stage meaning that if your competition fills quickly - you can start drafting as soon as possible! But be careful - the draft will start if you set it too early and your comp has not filled yet!

With just a week to go until the start of the season, users should be aware that the members that you invite into your competition have time to do the draft fully.

The final STAGE THREE will be available within the next week. This stage will allow users to:

· Cut, Recruit and Trade Players
· Input your Team
· Sledge your Opponents
· View the draw

Too short notice im afraid

What we are going to do, is run the draft NEXT Week Wednesday 8pm (EST)

That is guaranteed in the books. I advise for Div 2 to do the same, and Div 3 if it gets going... that gives everyone one week to either know weather they'll be online and if not do a comprehensive pre draft list

cheers

Raiders,

NRLCEO STAGE 2 WILL OPEN TOMORROW (Thursday) MORNING - Prepare your pre draft lists and get ready to draft. But competition creators, please make sure your competition is full before the time that you want the draft to start....Otherwise people will miss out. It will not wait for anyone once started!!!!! You are better off setting the draft date well into the future and then moving it back later once everyone is in. Although by the sounds of things you guys have your draft times sorted.

NRLCEO Stage 2 means you can:
- Create a competition,
- Enter teams in a competition,
- Enter players into a pre draft list, AND
- Begin recruitment via one of the two drafting methods.... See More

Stage 3 is still under construction and will be available within the week. This will let you:
- Cut, recruit and trade players
- Input your team
- Sledge your opponents
- View the draw

Thanks for putting up with the delays. I hope everything goes well. Its all running smoothly at the moment. We're into last testing tonight just to make sure. Enjoy the draft lads, its my favourite part of the fantasy footy year.

Ready to rock and roll ladies and gents...

You can now start organising your competitions. To those organising the comps. I recommend you tick the "Public Competition" box when setting up. That means those already registered can log on and then join your competition once you tell them the password.

Let me know if you have any questions or come accross any dramas.

Enjoy!

:woot:

Will we be going for the random draft or staggered draft?
LIVE RANDOM DRAFT
During the random draft, the pick order is randomised and each round, coaches are able to see when their picks are for the next two rounds only. For whatever reason, coaches are able to forfeit a pick and once the draft is over, are able to pick players until their squad of players is complete.

LIVE STAGGERED DRAFT
During the staggered draft, the pick order is randomised for the first round. After the first round each coach moves up one position in the order with the 1st position moving to last, then second last and so on. For whatever reason, coaches are able to forfeit a pick and once the draft is over, are able to pick players until their squad of players is complete.
:hmmm I'd prefer the random. The staggered is okay unless you get 12th in the picking order.

With the staggered everyone would get a 1st pick, where as random there's a chance someone would get last pick every round, staggered sounds fairer

Get involved lads

The GH Premiership
http://www.thegh.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16141

Div 2
http://www.thegh.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16142

I want standardized settings across the comps, to make it uniform and fair :D

So here are the details:
I have set up both comps.

Teams: 12
Round to start: Round 1
Competition Length: 26
Finals system: 6 teams
Draft type: Staggered Draft (I've gone with this as because as stated, its the fairest way for everyone to ensure they are high pick)
Draft start time/date: 10/03/10 - 8pm EST
Number of Terminations: 20
Anti Tampering: Round 16
Trades Count to termination: No
Players Salary: No

Squad Limits: Default (so just accept the default squad that comes up)

Scoring system:
Goal: 2
FG: 1
Workhorse: 4
Sin bin: -2
Send Off: -6
Try Assists: 4
Line Break: 2
Line Break Assists: 1
Player Wins: 1
Player Loses: 0
Player Draws: 0
Captain: Double value
Bench: Normal value

Mate, you've got a week, take some time over the next week, when you've entered the comp and fill in your pre draft list
you can rank as many in the order you want them so if your not there, the draft will take who ever is next on your list :thumbsup

ATTN ALL: You should now all have email invites to the respective competitions in your email. I have used the email that is in your profile on the GH. If you dont have the invite, let me know what email to send it to via PM

The draft time and date is now set, you have just under a week, if you wont be online at 8pm, next wednesday, do a comprehensive pre list to ensure you get a good side
