The mighty Batemans Bay Rats, have named their squad for the up coming 2009 season.

While coach Johny Howard, has left some massive names out of the first round team, it still appears the Rats will be a force to be reckoned with.

At the first press conferance of the year, from the top of the world famous Batemans Bay Bridge, Mr. Howard made some very important points about the preseason and what was to come from his side.

Points of note-

* Four very expirenced players have been left out of the round one squad, Mr. Howard would not give a reason why, only to say "They gave me the s@#ts."

* The Rats would focus on speed, and breaking the line in 2009, yet still wanted his two big boppers (Price and Bailey) to make the hard yards early in each match.

* The team would be expecting Terry Campo to weave his "stuff" all year, and he was an early season favourite for the captaincy.
