It’s app based. Deano might be able to help... but maybe not.

Has there been any updates on how the app updates are going?

I keep getting notifications that I’m on a roll, but I can’t see my progress, or my ladder position
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

I was in touch with Deano yesterday... he said the developers know what the problem is for The Greenhouse ladder and they have a solution, but they can't update it until next week.

As I understand it, The Greenhouse competition was a bigger than the developers were expecting... they seemed to think it would need to cater for small groups of friends and family. But they now realise that footy sites, clubs and pubs etc might have bigger groups.

At least you're getting notifications that you're "on a roll". I'm not...

I assume it’s that I’m not top of said ladder?

I can't place my tips. It just buffers and does nothing. Over the weekend it was sending me notifications every 30 minutes. Open the app to find out what's going on and nothing. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it just does nothing but buffering.

To tip... open the app and don’t click anything... it will buffer and should stop after a bit (I recognise you’re saying it isn’t, but maybe try that method... works for me). Then click on place tips. The ladder does not yet work. Deano says that a fix has been identified... and should be in before tipping starts this week.

I'll second what GE says. I just let mine buffer and went and made a tea. Came back and it had loaded and I could place tips.

Still persevering. Might stick it out and win be default.
I just want to know where I am on the ladder, so I can judge when to use the bonuses

The apps working perfectly for me now, I’ve got no idea how the scoring works though.

I wish I hadn’t looked at the ladder.

The scoring works on the points allocated to each team, each week. As I understand it. So if you back an outsider, you get big reward if they win. If you back the favourite and they win, you don’t get much.

I had a look and it’s essentially running odds for each game.

As explained to me, the points reflect the odds... but there's no betting involved, so they're not odds, they're points for getting selecting the right winner.

Why can’t something be odds without betting?

Are they set at a particular time each week? Or when you place your tip if they’re live?

They are 100% giving odds on the game, I’m would expect everyone realizes there’s no betting involved.
