I blame Schifty he was the only person that had anything to gain out of Finites demise, he was a chance to drop out of the top 3Lurch wrote:Rumour has it Finite was knee capped to prevent him from announcing the winner. Interesting. And with his power as a Mod, he may have deleted Finite's announcement of the winner. Hmmm indeed.valiant_raider wrote:I blame Schifty he was the only person that had anything to gain out of Finites demise, he was a chance to drop out of the top 3Lurch wrote:Rumour has it Finite was knee capped to prevent him from announcing the winner. I demand a Royal Commission to investigate these claims of Schifty abusing his Mod PowersLurch wrote:Interesting. And with his power as a Mod, he may have deleted Finite's announcement of the winner. ****, I've arrived late, haven't I? Someone tell me the awards are still going? After-party, anyone?
Congrats to all our winners from 2007, another year where The Greenhouse keeps breaking record after record!
Well done to Schifty on reaching 'GH Immortal' Status... and of course GE on our Poster of the Year.
While there are a number of us with lots and lots of (generally rubbish) posts, it's great to see the membership base of the forum grow and the diversity of the forum improve every year. Well done to all the newbies here for bringing some colour to the forum.
And of course, thanks Val for organising the event!

Well I can see when I'm not wanted. Or noticed.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Well, that was an enjoyable read! Sorry I couldn't be here last night but I had other plans. Congrats to all the winners, particularly GE and Schifty who deserve all the recognition they got through their awards. Well done guys.
Also well done to Michael for having a huge impact on the Boogs this year. Michael - you reek of awesomeness.
Feel a little bit sad that Val wasn't recognised with an award Thought the guy deserved to sweep the awards this year, but in my humble opinion, the GH could do a lot worse by making him a moderator or an administrator some day.
Also thanks to those who voted for me in my award and by far the funniest event during the Boogs was Lurch's entrance into the event.

I contributed!!! I'm taking this!!!!!!greeneyed wrote:The Greenhouse Award for Outstanding Service to Charity
This is a very special award, decided upon by the Administrators of The Greenhouse.
This year, The Greenhouse decided to act in support of the club by putting their dollars forward … to the Neil Henry Fund…
The intent was to contribute to the fine the NRL imposed on the coach of the Canberra Raiders… for telling the truth about the standards of refereeing. But I think we all knew – and it was always intended – that the money collected would go to charity.
And so it did.
The members of The Greenhouse collected nearly $2,000 for the Neil Henry Fund, and when it was presented, Neil Henry announced it would be passed on to the Canberra Raiders Senior Leadership Group charity.
So, the special Greenhouse Award for Charity goes to those in the Raiders Army who organised it…
Woodgers, Leethal, Loz and all those who helped and contributed...
**YOINK**
**Insert evil laugh**
PS Yeah I'll vouch for Schitfy's morals and integrity... (Got any good odds for me Marko?)
