At least that thread of mine that got suggested in the year-long nominations thread for "worst thread" didn't make the list.

... is it just me or is that sentence slightly confusing? :hmmm

I was pretty tired when I posted that... still am.

I was hoping not to have to mention its name, but I was saying that I was glad "Pangrams" didn't make the cut for worst thread.

The problem with that is; how are the general GH public supposed to know who's putting in effort behind the scenes, after all, its... behind the scenes.

The only way you can know who to vote for is being told who's the best admin and therefore, who to vote for.

ha ha ha ha, how appropriate - Bay56 questioning admin and the back office.

I'll vote for Nick or Marko though because they paid me for my comments.

the mods/admin run the GH like a footy club ;)
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I'm not talking about behind the scenes of the Raiders, I'm talking behind the scenes of the GH... rest assured when I posted that I wasn't referring to one of your numerous "sack management" style posts.

100% intirely take your point on the fact as general members you guys dont see who does the hard yards, it was a point raised by Michael in the nominations thread and i whole heartedly agree. Same with the moderators. It will go to the vote this year, but i'd suggest from next year, it wont be voted on.

But for all looking to vote, im sure he'll win comfortably but believe me, with GE, this place would simply cease to exsist.

Just a reminder that voting closes on Wednesday evening!

We have had a good turnout of votes thus far but still some notable people are yet to submit their votes.

The awards night will be held on Tuesday, October 13th here at the GH at 7:30pm.

Rent 'The Notebook' on DVD for the missus and put the kids to bed early because you won't want to miss the festivities!
