In one of the first really big categories this year, we go behind the scenes to the wonderful world of moderating, making sure words like **** and **** and mother ****** are all edited out.

There were certain events that occurred in 2008 that made us laugh out loud as a group at the amusement of others. They will go down in Greenhouse folklore as some of the defining moments of its history.

Funniest Event of the Year

Daily Telegraph Poll hijacking 66.7%

Ben Taylor (julian87) disappearing in Goulburn 18.2%
Dubby coming back to the GH a week after leaving 15.2%

Yes, Daily Telegraph... Todd Carney was the best player in the NRL... morons.

If i may cut Mikey off for a moment...
Now, given i shall be leaving the festivities early, i should announce the next inductee in the

GreenHouse Immotals

The Immortal began with 4 members and each year another inductee is introuduced to the illustrious group
It's current members are: Edabomb, Paulquinn49, Greeneyed, Raider_69, Thickos, Bay56 and Schifty.
All the inductee's have made significant contributions to the GH, be it just via posting, their administrative/moderating duties or being the original founders of what we now call the Greenhouse.

This year's inductee has gone above and beyond the call of duty, the man we're inducting tonight was a top class contributor since post one, and from that point he's gone on to rise through the ranks of moderator and administrator, he has aided the Greenhouse where ever possible including helping us out with distribution of the GH business cards and even got his work, Jersey's For Work and Play to sponsor the GH tipping competition and provided a jersey for the winner.

It's with great pride that this year we accept 100%Green into the GreenHouse Immortals

Well done to Buc, Lime Green and Infamous Green for their awards.

Also, well done to 100%Green. I am relatively new to the moderator team and hence, am happy to see the award go to 100%... The whole moderator team ought to be congratulated for their work.

Cheers for the votes in best call of the year category.

I would like to thank my inspiration, Marko... He is like an American President, just comedy gold all year round.

Yes, I have been a post whore. There are plenty of others here too that are exactly the same and continue posting just for posting's sake.

However, the next category recognises that poster who is able to make an impact by not neccassarily (sarily, sarily..) posting 3000 times a day, but is able to come on, make their point and not pussy foot around the facts.

This next award recognises the:

Quality of Quantity Award (Forum)

KW 51.5%

Woodgers 27.3%
Lime Green 21.2%

KW goes back to back in this Award for 2007 and 2008. Congratulations mate!

Everybody turns their heads away from the award ceremony as it is announced the mighty Fergatroid has entered the room. Fergatroid has to open the door for himself and his foine honies because the doorman is amazed by his ride:

Image

"It's no horse, but it comes with free air conditioing and multiple airbags (some might say limitless)."

The camera bulbs flash, hurting Fergatroid's eyes - earlier in the night he had been puffing the dragon and tripping for a second or two,

Image

Fortunately the flashes were soon blocked by the masses running up to get a glimpse of their hero.

"No autographs. No autographs please."

But one little fella couldn't help himself - his mother was a big fan of Fergatroid and she would beat him up if she heard her son hadn't got his autograph for her.

"Okay Lurch I will give you this autograph but only because it is a matter of life and death. But later into the ceremony I expect under the table favours *nudge-nudge*."

Naturally Lurch complied with Fergatroid's request. It wasn't everyday he would get to meet such a fabulous poster (who sadly wasn't nominated and is still very bitter about it :rant ).

After Fergatroid signed the autograph for Lurch he proceeded through the vast crowd of greenwearing friends. Before highfiving Buc Nasty on his landslide victory he turned to a jubilant Lurch, "Nice suit by the way."

Fergatroid then passed david231280's table and chuckled to himself as the favourite for the most boring poster award lay face down on the table with his pants pulled down, unconscious. The stress must have got to him...

In yet another big category, the Greenhouse has some seriously smart football brains out there. When these next nominees type, we read and respect what they have written, even if we disagree.

Best Football Brain (Forum)

Woodgers 54.5%

Thickos 27.3%
Dubby 18.2%

Congratulations to Woodgers for going back to back in this category!

Some signatures are funnier than others. Some are more meaningful than others. Some have hidden messages and some don't have them at all. Tonight we celebrate the clever little raskals who spend $1000s in art school designing 5 minute pictures in the Paint application.
