The "winfield cup" era, imo, was the best for RL in Australia.

I agree.

Sadly, the Super League era turned the media against the game, and many other fans as well.

While RL has probably enjoyed a friendlier era, our society and culture has changed and this is reflected in the game itself and the issues it faces.

Back in the 80s if a player got drunk it was no big deal. Fans would probably get drunk with him. Now young guys want to heckle and put crap on them. Think Benji Marshall a year ago.

Now, everyone has a mobile phone and is waiting to find themselves a classic YouTube moment or scandalous photo (think Myles, Carney and FPN getting a tattoo and having a drink at a pub)

Our world has changed. We've sterilized the players and also bred a generation of self righteous twats who can leave anonymous posts on newspaper columns.

This country is no longer an easy going mob of people, its a self righteous clan of arrogant know it alls.

I just started having a go at creating some highlight video's. I would muchly appreciate any help people can offer, esp in regards to uploading video's to Youtube for example. Also given that I have just used capture software to grab the clips I've used, they do have logo's in some of them. Advice on avoiding issues on that end would be great.

So far I've just made a highlights clip of Reece Robinson. It's just a collection of his tries and a no try against the Cowboys in 2011 (I had to include it just for the speed he showed).

Cheers in advance

Not sure if this has been posted but its the best Ricky Stuart compilation I have seen. No idea why he paired Ricky Stuart with the theme to shaft though.

Just found some of these highlights from 94, that team still sends a shiver up my spine. There is some absolutely breathtaking Brett Mullins action, hell the whole team is virtually unstoppable.

Here's a good video if you like seeing lots of Raiders tries against some pretty woeful defence... A 1997 World Club Challenge match against Wigan

Somewhere in England.

The Youtube clip is highly biased too, they show about ten replays of each of the Pommy tries and never show a replay of ours.

EDIT: Canberra Stadium, really??

Wow... How times change. When was the renovation done on the stadium for it to be like it is today? I can only recall it being like how it is now

I love how even with one of the greatest teams ever assembled, in a time when we were on 9 every other week ,including the previous 3 weeks in succession as we went through the finals...but Ray Warren calls the wrong player on our very first touch of the ball.

Other interesting point: if that game were played today Kenny Nagas would have been penalised at the end of the first set for attacking the catcher in the air. We never would have received the repeat set that led to the Furner try off of Osborne's offload.

Has anyone got any highlights or any video on the raiders panthers game in 2008 where campo scored a thousand points. Can't find it anywhere on the Internet. Actually in saying that it is on nrl.com but any video I've tried prior to 2010 says it cannot be viewed or played or something.
