Has anyone heard anymore on J.Smiths injury ...

as I reported on the debate page before Xmas my source indicated he was injured and ulikely to play in 2005. On arriving back in Canberra today I was going to catch the latest from him but did not have time .. might try tomorrow.

In that article about the camp it said Smith would be there and stuff so i dont think he would be injured.

There are contrary reports that he will be right for the start of the season.

I hear that the water in that area has healing qualities that have worked wonders on many a crook shoulder ... maybe they took him there to test it out ... quite frankly I think they should import a tanker load of the stuff back to Canberra cause they are going to need it.

Jason Smith: other clubs have guys like Matt Head, Craig Gower, Brent Sherwin, Scott Prince - and we have Jason Smith. unfortunately, i believe that he's gonna be a dud buy for us. at the same time though, i'm hoping like hell that i'm wrong.

Have you tried that thickos? It tastes terrible

J.Smith is a wildcard for sure. I think if he remains injury-free, he will go great guns for us. Unfortunately, I don't think that is likely.

I've tried something similar. It smells shocking and you need a litre of water to wash the taste out.

No. It tastes like mud water and there isn't an ounce of alcohol in it.

It still has a certain "effect" on the drinker, more akin to a natural drug than an alcoholic drink.

I'd be happier if I found out he had been frozen when he left the NRL, and we were getting him back the same age and condition as when he left.

I've just spoken to my source and he thinks the info he got on J.Smith a couple of weeks ago looks to be a gee-up ... he states he has been at Raiders training looking OK.

Yup. Never believe the Media...or else you would be believing Rebecca Wilson.

I work with Matt Adamson's cousin. He is really enjoying his move to Canberra and loving every moment of it. 8)

Dud Buy? I think not.

You telling me your entire family lives in the same city as you?

In case you forgotten, Adamson lived in Sydney, then moved to UK. Now his setteled in Canberra with his wife and kids.

His cousin told me just yesterday at work, that she went down to visit him when he first arrived, and he is enjoying it down there.

OK now I've gotcha ... considering that Matt's cousin is a girl, now I understand your original statement ... it's Matt that has moved to Canberra not his cousin who you work with in Sydney

Injured or not, Jason Smith will be a coaching asset for players by the like of Carney and Campese. The one reason why he was recruited to the Raiders in the first place was for the experience he can bring to our halves and our whole team. He will be a good signing even if he plays half the year.
