Clearly seems that he's not expecting to be picked. If he was, the headline would be that he's returning.

RAIDERS

Ladder: 14th (4-0-8, -86)

What’s gone wrong: How long have you got? The Raiders were a team that thrived off resilience and grit. So much of their game plan over the last two years focused on putting teams into a corner, forcing an error and scoring. The new rule changes have taken the attrition out of the game and that has hit Canberra’s big pack harder than most. On a technical level, Ricky Stuart has repeatedly butchered his interchange.

Pretty scathing on the coach at times.
It was a lot of scrolling to find the Raiders. Difficult to argue with anything written there. The fact we clock off in the second half was not emphasized. That is a coaching issue which Sticky has said he has no answer to correct.

Yes we have had disruption, but so have many other sides performing much better than we are in 2021.

There has been a lot of NRL player movement but little mention of those going to the Raiders.

It’s a fitting term as he often actually does put his hand up in some strange sort of appeal when he is beaten in defence. Almost as if he is calling “touch”.

Thankfully his replacement has been impenetrable in defence. He must have been, given the complete lack of criticism (comparatively).

Absolutely nails it, even the points about Kris and Sutton, as well as Stuart's absolutely farcical use of the bench. He obviously actually watches our games.

It's an indictment on the coach that only Ryan Sutton has reached anything near his potential this season. Curtis Scott has improved, but from the lowest base possible known to an NRL player in living memory.

NRL.com power rankings

15. Canberra Raiders (15)
More off-field dramas. Canberra just can't seem to get it right. They've got a winnable couple of games coming up if their heads are screwed on, but I just can't see it changing. They've been awful.

This is accurate, although I don't read Sowie's column anymore. He likes to see us fail. I hope Ricky and the coaching staff got them together during the bye break to iron out some issues. We need to win some games and flog Dragons when we meet them to stick it up his short ass. No Horse suits us - he's been unfit, lazy and hasn't had an impact. Worse than Shannon Boyd in 2017-18. I don't think Ryan James's output has been good after the first few games. He rarely makes over 50 metres. I hope they pick Semi on one wing. As for fullback, flip a coin between Aekins and Bailey.

Kokomo's no-no gives Timoko a go-go

Curtis Scott's stand down means Matt Timoko will get his chance in the Raiders centres against the Brisbane Broncos at Canberra Stadium on Saturday. Raiders co-captain Jarrod Croker (knee) is still a few weeks away from being ready, with the Gold Coast Titans in round 16 his likely return.

"He's worked hard at his game and it will be his third appearance so it's a good opportunity for him," Ricky Stuart said.
