Here is a fun game for you to play with your family.
How many individual players in the NRL would get paid more than Nicho Hynes (24 years old), George Jennings (27), Reimis Smith (24) Justin Olam (27), Chris Lewis (28), Tom Eisenhuth (28) and Aaron Pene (25) get paid combined?
Shows why we need to care about the second tier doesn't it.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

I think he needs to be subject to a salary cap...
Schneider ran for re-election in a rematch against Republican Robert Dold. As of July 2014, Schneider's campaign had $1.9 million cash on hand, and Dold's campaign had $1.65 million cash on hand.
but
Schneider co-sponsored a bill that would raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.
God bless America.

Brad Schneider set to make Canberra Raiders debut in NRL showdown against Melbourne Storm
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has plucked 20 year old half Brad Schneider from outside the club's top 30 playing list to make his NRL debut in Saturday's home clash against the high-flying Melbourne Storm.
Schneider has impressed Stuart in seven NSW Cup appearances already this season. He moved to Canberra from Townsville last year, and has shown his wares as a crafty halfback with a pinpoint kicking game.

Don't remember last time I genuinely thought we were going to get lapped.
Even a weakened Storm should be able to account for us easily.
Taking Papa, Tapine, Wighton, Hodgson and CNK out of a non-structure based team which is already struggling massively is bad, bad news.

Because a young bloke is about to realise a life long dream he's had since he was a little kid. Because when he told his father, you could hear the pride in his voice... and the emotion overcoming them both. It was a great video and I'm proud the club is giving him a chance.
And then I also realised that I was watching a video about some good rugby league news. And that the video would not feature Peter V'landys.

I reckon we will shock the storm. Raiders are at their best when there is no pressure or expectations. Also helps having Munster and probably Papenhuyzen out.Mickey_Raider wrote: ↑May 18, 2021, 7:29 pm Don't remember last time I genuinely thought we were going to get lapped.

I get its the Storm, but I think this might actually be a lot closer than people think. Storm are pretty light on their studs too.
Re: 2021 Rd 11 V Storm: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I don’t understand why someone would have tears of joy for a young man achieving a lifelong dream and sharing that emotion with his father, but at the same time needing to hate someone who’s only crime is trying to make sure that same young man, at 40, 50 or 60 years old, regardless of whether he plays 1 or 300 games with the Raiders, is not forgetting his yet unborn kids names, being violent to his wife that he has not currently met, or unable to feed himself or tie his own shoe laces.
You could not unreasonably argue that the process to change the interpretations is wrong or somethings could be interpreted differently, but I thought it was a cheap shot at someone who I think has the welfare of this young man front of mind when making these decisions.

If we don't get beaten up in the middle i reckon we're in with a look. As others have said we go ok with less pressure
