I don’t mind the Papalli send off...if it’s consistent.
You just know we will be the only team to cop the brunt of V’landys brain fart this weekend and therein lies the problem for me...
There has been 3 games and 10 send off/sin bins
The other sides have already copped the brunt

Send offs apart from Papalli?

Who got sent off??

He’s the only send off so far
But none of the other games have had an incident nearly as bad as papa’s
I have no doubt these sin bins and send offs will be a feature of this weekend

I think the sin bins and send offs were pretty consistent with previous games. The players (and fans) will get used to it
It's not the previous games I'm worried about. It's the next games when the NRL inevitably loses their spine under the complaints from the media and this sort of thing goes back to being a penalty and on report that I'll be cheesed about - because you know it will happen.
And to all the people who doubted me, hello to them as well. - Mark Webber, Raiders Ballboy and Unluckiest F1 Driver Ever
I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)
Not a great performance but our structure looks so much better with Hodgson adding width to our attack. His the best half at the club. Kept the attack nice and straight too.

Yvonne: Bulldogs alwmost staged the greatest comeback of the season. They were 8 nil down! please, enough with the exaggeration. If anything it was the greatest comeback from the Raiders being at 11/12 down and a try down. please!

Agree. Hodgson plays better as a wide-running ball-playing backrower.
He actually bents the line and makes good post contact metres.
MATCH REPORT: Short-handed Canberra Raiders produce stunning comeback to beat Canterbury Bulldogs
Talk about gutsy. If it wasn't for the Canberra Raiders producing one of their best comeback wins in history the spotlight would've again been on the NRL's sin bin frenzy. It was some Green Machine magic perfectly suited for Magic Round.
The Raiders put their second-half woes behind them to storm back to beat the Canterbury Bulldogs 20-18 at Lang Park on Saturday
CANBERRA RAIDERS 20 (Corey Harawira-Naera, Curtis Scott, Sebastian Kris tries; George Williams 3 goals) bt CANTERBURY BULLDOGS 18 (Nick Cotric, Nick Meaney, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak tries; Jake Averillo 3 goals) at Lang Park. Referee: Chris Butler.
Josh Papalii sent off as he equals Steve Walters' in fifth on all-time games list for Canberra Raiders
Josh Papalii jumped to equal fifth on the all-time games list for the Canberra Raiders, drawing alongside three-time premiership winning hooker Steve Walters.
Saturday's come-from-behind win over the Canterbury Bulldogs was Papalii's 228th in the lime green, although he didn't manage to finish it after being sent from the field for a high shot on Tuipulotu Katoa.
I like Nami and think he does actually make a difference to the team’s defensive starch. So this is umm... happily aligned with my world view. Cheers bud

Thanks. So it's agreed - Dunamis Lui is the most important player in this team, because the correlation is clear and obvious
So in summation, we beat the likely wooden spooners by 2 points, lost another second half and could possibly be without Wighton, Hodgson and Papa for who knows how long?
Yet I am quietly satisfied at just winning for once. Perhaps because I don't expect to feel it again for at least 3 weeks.
We were awful but proud of the boys to not give up and come back and win.
Hodgson was great, Aekins great ball playing at the back, Scott had his best game for us, Bailey saved tries, Dunamis was excellent in the first half, Semi promising. Let's also not ignore Williams' goal kicking.
But we will struggle to make the 8. Defence was hopeless and there was a lack of organisation on the 5 tackle options.

Thought a couple of much maligned players had good games
Simonsson, Scott, Valemei, CHN?
All were good.
They were good - CHN had a better game. Semi should hold down a wing for the rest of the year. Scott hot and cold but moving in the right direction. Kris had an off day.
