Where's Joshy?

Post by nachopants »

I couldn't help but notice we had Jarrod in the box with Stick, even Don was there.

Hodgson nowhere to be seen. I may be mistaken, but if I'm not, does anyone know where he was?

We need to Hodgo back badly. We have no onfield leadership at the moment. We are blowing massive leads and its because there’s no one in the side who can guide us to victory. There’s no one in the team who we can rely on to make the right call at the right moment, that is the kind of player you need to win when the contest is super tight.

If we end up releasing him because of bad blood between him and Ricky thats definitely curtains for the year. Might as well start the rebuild.

Josh needs to come back. We’re running out of players to blame
Feel free to call me RickyRicky StickStick if you like. I will also accept Super Fui, King Brad, Kid Dynamite, Chocolate-Thunda... or Brad.

He isnt co captain anymore so he had no reason to be in the box.

Call me crazy, but i dont think we're a better team without Josh Hodgson
We all crack jokes and have a laugh about the crash balls, but with the ball we had in the red zone, Josh Hodgson has 2-3 try assists in that game imo

I agree. Look at Rapana's short run and pass to Tapine. We should have scored 4 more times in the 1st half and at least 3 in the second.

I didn't think Jack was as good this week and took wrong options. Compared to Ponga who was deadly in our 20 m zone.

I’d prefer Harley-Smith to Mansour, I reckon the sauce is past it

Right now Starling is good in bursts but can't sustain what Ricky is asking of him. Ie- 80 mins.

Hodgo isn't as strong as he once was but he is still our best dummy half.

I honestly think he could have had more than that.

Stick him in the 7

If he wants to own the team, then it's a perfect role for him. Jack can feed off that and pick and choose when he calls for the ball, and we have starlings pace at 9

I actually thought Jack played one of his better games last week after George pulled out late and Wighton moved to the halves. I wondered if perhaps a lot of structures went out the window and Jack was freed up to play what he saw in front of him. I think Jack, George and Hodgo are all very good footballers but for whatever reason they just can’t form a good combination.

I’m pretty sure Josh was on the field during the warm up, Jarrod was definitely out there and there was another person with players shorts and a polo on which looked a lot like Hodgo. The sun was in my eyes and he was wearing a hat but was the right height and build.

Michael Ennis said last night on Big League Wrap that Hodgson was in Canberra doing rehab on the weekend.

There's a lot of rehab being done on that "injury"

I talked about the loss of the ruck being our main problem before Josh was injured. Given what we've seen since I wish I had been wrong.
The drop Hodgson, drop Croker solutions would have had us travelling real well if they had worked as simply as was being mentioned.

Long way back from here.
