Explosive fallout to NRL wife’s Instagram vent
Journalist Danny Weidler told Sky Sports Radio that Stuart has put his players on notice about their slipping attitudes. He said Stuart confronted Tapine about his wife’s post.
“How do you reckon it was for Joey at training yesterday? I’m getting a bit of mail out of there that Ricky let him know what he thought,” Weidler said. “And Ricky is up for the fight right now. I can’t say the exact quote but basically he’s in for a fight with his players. If they want to fight, I’m up for the fight.

Is he even in the top 30?Hong Kong Raider wrote: ↑May 4, 2021, 10:53 am Time to give Savage a bench spot - we need a back on the bench. I don't think there's anyone seriously suggesting that he's even close to first grade at this point, and I reckon most of the people pushing for him are basing it on a single clip of a single run he made a few weeks ago.
Let's not turn another talented kid into a meme. Give him time.
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
Re: 2021 Rd 9 V Knights: Teams and Previews
He's not in the top 30 or on the development list and he's not eligible to play at present. He hasn't played a game of NSW Cup yet. Development players or NSW Cup players can after Round 10. I don't know if it requires NRL approval for clubs to draw on NSW Cup players after Round 10 or not.T_R wrote: ↑May 4, 2021, 11:03 amIs he even in the top 30?Hong Kong Raider wrote: ↑May 4, 2021, 10:53 am Time to give Savage a bench spot - we need a back on the bench. I'd certainly want to see how he goes in NSW Cup for a while, particularly in defence, before considering him. He's still only 19 so plenty of time. He has huge potential and I do expect he'll be a first grade player.

Not that it matters but I would like to see this lineup:
1. Caleb Aikens
2. Semi Valemi
3. Seb Kris/Matt Timoko
4. Curtis Scott
5. Jordan Rapana
6. Jack Wighton
7. George Williams/Sam Williams
8. Josh Papalii
9. Tom starling
10. Ryan James
11. CHN
12. Elliot whitehead
13. Joseph Tapine
14. Josh Hodgson
15. Hudson young
16. Corey horsburgh
17. Ryan Sutton
I am struggling to see how Tapine stays at the club after this. A win is going to be so important this weekend. Like any club, when you’re winning games, everything off field seems to follow.
The reality is, since our grand final in 2019, we have not improved as a team and as a result, several other teams have gotten better than us (panthers, eels, Rabbitohs).
George Williams is going home either this year or next. We need to throw our hat in for either Reynolds or Moses but I wouldn’t be confident either would be interested given what is currently happening.
As I mentioned in a previous post, we have quickly reverted back to a 6 - 12 place team and it’s extremely disappointing.
Only thing that fixes it is playing good footy and getting wins on the board.

Weekend off refocuses struggling Canberra Raiders on task at hand
A holiday is as good as a change, with Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling hoping a weekend off can act as a circuit breaker for the struggling Green Machine.
"It's massive. I went and saw my family and switched off from footy and I was at the beach soaking up the sun," Tom Starling said. "It is a good refresher. You come in on a Monday feeling good, feeling fresh, ready to go for a big week of training for a big game of footy out at Wagga."

Knights seem to be having similar attitude/unrest issues to us, on a lesser scale
They don't even need to be in form though: Kaylyn Ponga is exactly the type of player though who can single handedly beat us

Re: 2021 Rd 9 V Knights: Teams and Previews
I cannot understand dropping James - I thought he has played well and needed more minutes. He has been better than Young and Horse in recent weeks. The former really needs to work on his defence while the latter grow a brain and not offload to an opponent on the 1st and 2nd tackle of six again restart in heavy traffic and also work on his fitness. Note this weekend he is always the last to get back on side after the opposing team kicks it downfield. But overall, Stuart is responsible for better use of the bench and not have players with unbalanced minutes.

Surprised to see James dropped, though I suppose I was also surprised to see him sit on the bench for the entire second half last week. Would definitely be ahead of Horsburgh at the moment for me if he's fit.

Great to see Papa back and the injuries weren't too severe.

I'm not convinced on James's effectiveness post 6-again. It's such a momentum game now. He makes good metres trotting down field but it has a slow motion look to me. Slow rucks are a killer and you're pretty much better off not fighting in the tackle these days as he tends to do.

What does it pay into a multi for Jack kicking the ball out on the full between the 16 to 20 minute mark?
