Top 4 vs Bottom 4 team- this gonna be ugly.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Lui back in the team. Need to see some defensive solidity.
Who am I kidding... we are ****.

Lui comes in for Havili
There's no point having him there if he's not being used.

I’m with bringing Lui back (noting I called for him to be dropped a few weeks ago).-TW- wrote:Lui comes in for Havili

Lui takes the boring hit ups that some of our forwards don’t bother with.
He works extra hard when tackling on the line and doesn’t fall for dummies.
He also throws a pass before the line (usually to Jack).
The best thing for Croker would be a few weeks back in NSW cup.

Tapine will be back, Hodgo if fit but unlikely.
Simonsson will play but whether that is off the bench or not will depend on the call they make with the captain.

Time for some media stories about how hard it is for opposition teams to play games in Canberra on cold nights leading up to and during winter. Ricky, also needs to return to his role as bad sporting parent on the sideline. The coaches' box may as well be a padded cell if we keep playing like this.

The thing about Curtis Scott is his best games in green have been ones where you don't notice him. I really don't understand what he brings to the table. Average defensively, no threat with ball in hand and hasn't shown any ability to set up his outside man. We have $1 million in centres who just aren't NRL standard. I don't think either would crack the top 25 centres in the game atm. Kris probably sneaks in.

He's a bog ordinary footballer, and there's not much more to it. Reminds me of Josh Bogan post rep career, with less size and strength.Roger Kenworthy wrote: ↑April 25, 2021, 1:34 am The thing about Curtis Scott is his best games in green have been ones where you don't notice him. Re: 2020 Rd 8 V Rabbitohs: Teams and Previews
I said this a few weeks back after the Penrith loss...
If we manage to blood a new backline that is younger and faster than what we currently have and finish the season knowing where the gaps are (if we need to recruit) then this season isn’t a total waste.
Off-season needs to be focused on gelling it altogether under the conditions the new rules bring.
Forget this season it’s over in terms of which teams can seriously win it.

I would love to see
- Whitehead move to a ball playing lock.
- Tarps back to an edge
- Young middle forward
- Croker rested

Did something happen to Aekins? Any specific reason why people don’t have him in their teams?

If you cant even be in a position to contest a grubber on the last tackle you've got no business being a first grade fullback.
He was reece robinsonesque without the speed etc to go anyway to make up for it

Try 1: reaches player striving for the line through another tackle. Contact innefective.
Try 2: grubber through on the 5th. Not within cooee of it. Just kind of loping along in no mans land.
Try 3: half a step away from player diving over the line carrying other tacklers. Gives a kind of half foot poke at him. Innefective.
Try 4: grubber through on the 5th. Arrives late to no effect. Same player on same side who grubbered through with no FB in sight last time.
Positionally he just seemed to lack awareness and then there seemed to be a lack of urgency and effect when he did get there.
Re: 2020 Rd 8 V Rabbitohs: Teams and Previews
Ready for the usual, top 4 side travels to canberra, Raiders catch travelling side off guard travelling side seems disinterested bored and looking ahead, Head coach Stuart says very proud and all is good again...Paper over the cracks.
This place is woke.

Having a lash at this having seen none of the reggies in action...
1 Aekins (in "this is your last chance to show something" mode)
2 Rapana (right side)
3 Wighton
4 Kris
5 Fastest young bloke
6 G Williams
7 S Williams
8 Papalii
9 Starling
10 Sutton
11 CHN
12 Whitehead
13 Tapine (in "run like a lunatic" mode)
14 Scott
15 Lui/Guler
16 Horsburgh
17 Young
With Sutton the only middle to play 50 mins, and not a second more.
