I’m just happy are finally seeing what I saw in that Panthers team way back in 2020.
Arrogant pricks who I hope have a monumental meltdown.
Luai and Crichton in particular.

Wouldn't expect any less to be honest. If that's the way they want to carry on so be it, I'm just glad they aren't a team I have to justify supporting. I don't mind a bit of niggle in sport, it makes it entertaining and is part of the contest but some of their behaviour is grubby and reeks of poor sportsmanship. Some of them sail very close to the line, a couple of them live on the other side of it.

Maybe Penrith will be so superior to every other team that they will waltz to the title.

But I tell you what there won't be any shortage of ammo and motivation for other teams to beat them.

Absolutely ridiculous. I think we can all understand why the rule is there but what happened is far from the issue that the rule is trying to stop. It was almost impossible for the trainer to get out of the way.

Good on Don for firing up.

The players are big enough and ugly enough to fight their own battles most of the time, but when our back room people who don’t have a platform to defend themselves get attacked, good on our leader for taking a stand.

Kudos to Joe Tapine who was just standing there with his boarding pass.
That young Creighton punk in his face, manhandling him and he kept his cool.

Taps would have copped 10 weeks if he had given that prick what he deserved..a straight right !!!

The NRL are outta control baby..

Incidents like this and the Penrith instagram rubbish will only get worse as the players coming into the NRL were raised in the age of social media.

Brisbane will get pumped, but I hope TPJ or one of their other big boys does some damage to those riff scum.

For a team that has achieved nothing they are pretty full of themselves aren't they?

Not winning too many fans I suspect. Even in their home town. It's pretty poor form.

The Tapine of years gone by probably would have.
Most of us on this forum have been wanting him to keep his temper under control, so credit to him.

Then again, maybe it was because he was a sub at the time?

Id expect this sort of behaviour in their home town.

On a side note:

Considering the really poor years we had in recent times; 2011, 2014, the fact we were well above what the Donkeys have been for the past few seasons is great.

As much as I hate Penrith I will still be watching and loving the score turn to 60+
This is not anything against Broncos fans (they have learnt to be humble) but rather against the disgusting NRL for allowing them to get such favourable treatment.

Still cheering on Brisbane putting some big shots on, which I know their decent forwards CAN do.

What’s the problem?: Cleary can’t cop claim his Panthers ‘lack class and respect’

Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has hit back at suggestions the Panthers have become kings of the NRL niggle.

“I’m just a bit confused as to what’s the problem,” Cleary said. “I don’t really know. Last week there was one incident from what I could see, and that was dealt with, which was fine.”

“Our team is young. I don’t think people see the niggle that comes from the opposition towards our team,” Cleary said.

Personally I don't see a lot wrong with the way the Panthers carry on. Makes the game more interesting when there's that element of attitude around teams and you can build mini rivalries from incidents like this.

If you were going to grade Trainer offences, I’d have the Raiders trainer at about a grade 2

I’d have the Roosters trainer who didn’t even try and avoid a ball that probably would have led to an opposition try in a Grand Final a Grade 5.

Yet another inconsistency from the NRL.

Pretty telling that the video is actually published officially from the club.

The arrogance and petulance isn't consigned to a couple 20 year olds, it is systemic across the whole club.

The Panthers are young and very good and quite stupid and don't know better. Unfortunately Ivan isn't going to whack them in public, though he may well do so in private.

What Kryten (yes, deliberate spelling) did was unnecessary but deserved no more than the fine he got. What the Raiders trainer did was right out of order and the club will just have to cop it - there's no defending his actions because the rules are so crystal clear, and frankly probably partly in place to protect the trainer from getting killed. Last time a trainer got involved in anything on the field we weren't so happy.

Karma will get the Panthers before the season is out, anyway.

They’re not. They’re doubling down and saying it’s OK. There’s also a requirement on the NRL to deliver even justice. This has not happened.

I didn't know you knew what the Panthers did in private... but I don't want to know, either!

Look, I know they haven't shown any public contrition, and maybe that's just because their entire organisation sucks. But maybe not, too.

And if we've been watching the same rugby league, I dunno where you get the idea that the NRL believes it has to evenly deliver "justice". I believe that it thinks it has to be seen to do so - even when it hasn't the faintest idea how to achieve that. So yeah, while I shouldn't say it out loud EDIT.

I think it shows the lack of professional across the whole club and immaturity
Am guessing the ones running the social media are under paid kids from penrifff who think they are cool

Boy, people need to get over this rubbish. The best way to put them back in their place is to beat them, plain and simple.

If you can’t do that, sit down and stop crying about everything.
