Obvious troll is obvious, Jesus Christ why do we have to keep doing this?
Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Titans: Teams and Previews
Any updates on Tapine? It looked like absolutely nothing at the game. Just back pedalling and then taken out by a sniper.

Like I said holla back at me in the later rounds Champ, yep I champed you.
That’s right chips aren’t won in April May but not hard to see we are not as good as the “rea contenders” period champ

We are going to need to dust ourselves off and put in a decent performance to beat the Titans.
They are dealing with the Cowboys very easily. Yes, Cowboys are terrible, but Titans look to be a side very much on the upward trajectory.

I'm guessing that Scott and Tapine won't be available.
I think we need Starling to run the big Titans forwards around. Havilii has busted his ****, I just think we need that speed around the ruck.
Hoping Kris and James are fit, but not super optimistic. Picking Guler over Red because he didn't go drink driving.

Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Titans: Teams and Previews
I think the drop in quality any time Starling took over the ruck from Hodgson yesterday was steep, too steep in fact, and possibly another factor in the loss (although we had no choice but to use him once picked).
I don't want Havili or Starling playing a single minute at dummy half if Hodgson is on his game tbh. After an initial few too many crash ball attempts early, our attack in the first half looked a lot better. Havili stays there only because the threat of losing Hodgson mid-game would likely stall us badly, and he's a good enough middle to still be able to contribute without having to take Hodgson's minutes.

Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Titans: Teams and Previews
I actually thought Starling looked pretty threatening out of hooker
I think in a standard game, the incisions he made would have yielded greater rewards except everyone was so **** spent and he had no one running off him except Hodgson. Which is sub optimal to say the least.
Havilii obviously gives us hooker coverage with the ability to be a power middle runner, which is a very unique skill set and very useful. But man, Starling offers something imo.

Young has a chance to prove how good he is this weekend, huge challenge going up against Fifita.
I love the way he plays and I’m looking forward to Hudson giving it Fifita, or it could go the other way.

Thought Starling went well on the weekend.
I’m expecting the same team aside from Scott and possibly Tapine.

Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Titans: Teams and Previews
I’d almost definitely bring Guler in for Soliola who gets a week off simply because those extra minutes would be so hard to recover from at that point in Asia’s career. And that’s almost regardless of the outcome of James, Kris and Tapine.
One rubbish game of reserve grade doesn’t change the fact that Guler, Hors and Lui are all competent first graders.
Gee I hope Hudson Young is fit for this game. And Seb Kris. Titans left edge is great and it’d be comforting having those 2 on the right.

Good shout re Hudson. I'd been thinking that injuries and the return of CHN might see him return to the middle this week, but given the Fifita threat I'd be starting him on that right edge provided he's fit.

Yeah, this could potentially put a serious dint in my plans for attending the game this weekend and meeting all of hrundi's family

I see it looks like the Brisbane v Collingwood game (which is Thursday and is in Brisbane - so significantly different) is being shifted to Melbourne and the return game which was supposed to be in Melb to be played in Brisbane.
I guess there must be a possibility of that happening with us too. Canberra Stadium is free this weekend.

Game is Thursday evening and Lions are already in Melbourne. Makes sense to keep them there rather than return to a city in lockdown.Bay53 wrote: ↑March 29, 2021, 12:01 pm I see it looks like the Brisbane v Collingwood game (which is Thursday and is in Brisbane - so significantly different) is being shifted to Melbourne and the return game which was supposed to be in Melb to be played in Brisbane.

I don't think so... it won't be an easy game though. Will be super close.
Re: 2020 Rd 4 V Titans: Teams and Previews
Think we are in genuine danger of not having a crowd/having this at the Gold Coast on the weekend? Had tickets and accom booked for months.
Didn't get a Raiders game last year due to covid and this timing is horrible!!
