Is quick enough. Not sure he has the head on his shoulders to play halves fulltime though. Seems to get a rush of blood.
He's not a half. Kicked on the second or third tackle playing Warriors when Warriors had 12 men due to Kane Evans serving his second stint, under 7 mins to go, when they had the chance to kick a penalty goal to tie it up. Forget about him. He's another Moses Mbye utility, even Connor Watson except Watson can't play every backline position.
Sounds fair. Harsh on Watto though. I think he has been good for the Knights this year.

Rabs just name-dropped Canberra as a possible Manu destination before the other commentators mentioned Warriors on Ch 9.

I would wet myself if we pulled that off.

So will Brenko Lee and Curtis Scott, whilst ET goes ringless
The **** as that got to do with the quaility of a player?

This championship/rings culture thing is really getting out of hand with some people.

When you sit back after retirement and look back on your career, I’d be more satisfied with a ring then not having one. Most league players have said wining a premiership is the ultimate.

Of course. Everyone wants to win a premiership. That's not the point i or even you made, dummy.

The fact Chad Townsend lucked into a premiership winning side (one that will ALWAYS be tainted and frankly should have been stripped due to salary cap and systematic drug programs in place) despite being a very ordinary footballer doesnt trump the fact he's a below average footballer and has been his entire career and will likely continue to be despite being grossly overpaid.

Chad Townsend can retire and look back at his tainted ring all he likes, not a single soul alive will ever think of player even 1/4th as good as guys like Josh Papalii, Jack Wighton. As said, this championship/rings culture thing is really getting out of hand with some people. Just asinine sports rubbish spouted because some dude was on a championship team.

Chad Townsend is deadset the biggest stretch for using that stupid championship theory with anyway.

Cronulla won in 2016 because their coach had the balls to hook their halfback at halftime in week 1 of the finals against Canberra. That moment completely shifted the momentum of their season which had started to nose dive dramatically after Canberra thumped them in round 21/22 or whatever it was.

Don't know if we'd have the cap for him (with a 7 needed). Seems more like a tigers or dragons signing.

There's a big market coming up in November for edge backrowers. I'm not sure I'd be rushing out to pick up Sironen considering some of the other options that will become available.

If we have any brains CHN will have one edge spot. That leaves Whitehead and Young as left edge options. Whitehead and CHN would be on a substantial wage. Young on mid range (250/300k). I think we'd be more inclined to look for a bargain youngster or backup than big name.

CHN should definitely have one spot. I think for Whitehead to continue to play there he would need to be on reduced minutes, sharing the role imo. That could work with Young but I would prefer another pick up. We've got at least $400-500k free next year with Scott gone as well as Williams' money to spare, there are no million dollar halves on the market, and we haven't done much recruiting while most clubs have picked up a couple players.

Looking at next yrs edge stocks:
Bronx
Bullemore - 'tweener' (means mid and edge) - I have heard he is off to the Warriors though, so keep an eye on that
Palasia - I suspect Bronx sunk too much coin into this kid to let him go, but sin bin on debut is fun

Raiders - CHN.... MUST RE-SIGN!

Dogs
Doorey - Just suffered an ACL, which doesnt help
RFM - 2 surgeries on his foot this year, again, not ideal. Would want to start though.
Stimson - not the player he was at Storm...surprise surprise.

Sharks - Nikora - would want to start

Manly
Davey - ACL this yr. Was the late bloomer guy from Eels. Could be handy depth
Lawton - can play edge, hooker and centre. Certainly a good bench type option, and can start when required, as seen this yr.

Storm
Eisenhuth - role player/ benchie type
Howarth - young, had big wraps, not sure Storm will let him go, but worth a look
Lewis - tore us up twice this yr...

NZ - Murchie - bring him back for depth?

Cows:
Dunn - bit thin and ganglely for mine, but a worker
Gilbert - reminds me of Big Red TBH. More mid than edge, but could play a role. High workrate and motor
Hola - Impact type guy, hasnt cracked it there in recent times, but had a big preseason last yr and I believe got hurt.

Eels
Hipgrave - career fell off a cliff TBH at Titans
Matterson - big dollars and a start would be required.
Niukore - could play that edge/ mid role off the bench. Can fill either roll well.
iPapa - wouldnt this be a steal!! But again, big money required and a start.

Panthers - Kik - Big dollars and a start

Dragons
Burns - can start, been a fringe guy for a while. Came out of the Penrith system
Ford - TBH, looks a defensive liability on an edge, looks better at 13
Sims - Will be getting a bit old TBH, and I think would make a better 13 than edge.

Chooks
Crichton - big bucks and a start
Suluka-Fifita - 'tweener' - Not sure the chooks would let him go, but decent wraps, young

Tigers
Garner - bench/ depth. Can start if required. Can be a defensive liability though.
Lil Leilua - quality player. Id say mid to high dollars and a start
Tuilagi - young, think he deubted this yr, dont know too much about him.
