Canberra Raiders hook in to find perfect balance following star's return

George Williams admits he needed to talk more, something the knee injury to Canberra Raiders co-captain Josh Hodgson forced him to do last year. Now the Raiders halfback says they've found the perfect balance ahead of Hodgson's return on Saturday.

"I had to be a lot more vocal when we lost him. I think it benefited me personally and the team got used to it, obviously a different voice. But we've found the balance really well since he's come back.

This is music to my ears. When Hodgson went down I thought it was a great opportunity for both our halves to get that exposure and experience.

Fingers crossed we're better off for it and Hodgo comes back 100% fit.

Only a trial? The result is critical. A win means we'll take out the premiership. Loss means we need to drop half the team and sack the coach.

All I'm really hoping for is that someone lines up Suaalii and gives him an appropriate, legal welcome to the big time...and if its big Horse taking his frustrations out , well that's icing on the cake.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Replay available online from when the game finishes or is there a waiting period before the replay is available?

Main group out for warmup and it looks like Seb Kris has the inside running for starting centre.

Clearly focussed on minutes in legs - Raiders only have 11 players warming up who did not play in the reserves game.

3rd min TRY ROOSTERS to Sitili Tupouniua, chasing the kick to the try line. Whitehead just not in position to take it. Converted. Poor start.

10th min TRY RAIDERS out wide to Hudson Young! Great running from Hodgson in the lead up. George Williams can’t convert from the sideline. Refereeing of the ruck is very unequal so far.
