Rick is squandering the best years of their careers. Time to get some fresh ideas into the coaching
We ran out of gas, this was always coming. It just came a lot later than most expected

Embarrassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Beaten by a better team tonight.
To get to this point has been good.
Looking at premiership winners over the past 15 years they have been won by teams that regularly play prelims.
We're getting to be one of those teams now.
No need to get too down or to start bagging any of our players.

It's going to be weird in 2021. First season Melbourne aren't benefitting from cheating the cap since 2005.

We need Whitehead as captain, Scott in for Croker and a focus on recruitment for big fast beasts on flank. Croker on the coaching team.

I don’t give a **** what anyone says
John Bateman has been a treat to watch play for this footy team and I’ll miss him
This team will miss him
Nothing but love for JB

Great effort to make the preliminary without hodgson but one of our worst performances in a couple of years sadly

50 hours of travel over a shortened season doesn’t help either despite what some would argue.

Yawwwn at the criticism. You’re the same blokes spouting the same criticism as when we were finishing in the bottom 8.
We are the best we’ve been in 25 years. We came up against a team primed to win it all. Again, our year wasn’t the ultimate success, but it was a success.

Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day
I was less confident with this game.
My reasoning- the travel.
I know some people love dismissing it but it doesn’t change a thing and our inept start proves it...
You can’t fly in on game day and expect to be at your best.
Nonetheless, **** the nrl, **** Qld and see you all next year..

MATCH REPORT: Storm blow Raiders away to book grand final spot
The Storm charged into their fourth grand final in five years with a clinical 30-10 demolition of Canberra at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
Three tries inside the first 10 minutes laid the platform for the Storm, with Jesse Bromwich, Ryan Papenhuyzen and Suliasi Vunivalu all getting over early. Canberra were left shell shocked as the Storm produced some devastating attack to blow the game open.

Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day
I love him but I've been disappointed with his performances on the big stage.
I hope CHN can take us to the next level.
Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day
CHN has been phenomenal tbh, Starling a real plus too. Can't agree with slamming Bateman on tonight's showing, he's done his defence well and was a constant threat with his runs, albeit guilty of trying to carry the attack himself late on, despite nothing coming from the middle and the 3/4s being atrocious.

Play 22 games and then get blown off the park in 3 sets and 5 minutes of the worst footy I've seen from us this year.
Anyway, tough season for the boys. At least they stuck in there.

You, out of everyone, need to shut the **** up.
Biggest game of the year and the only thing you do is to take snipes at posters. Pathetic, spineless ****.

Cotric would get into both teams. CNK would probably get into the Panthers side at fullback.moto748 wrote: ↑October 16, 2020, 8:50 pmAgreed. Scott is ordinary at best. You have to say, which Raiders backs would get into Melbourne's team, or Penrith?
That's about it, unfortunately.

Re: 2020 Finals Week 3 V Storm: Game Day
Yep, Only positives to be taken from this season. A bit of fine tuning and hard decisions need to be made, but all-in-all I'm sure you will all agree that after Hodgson went down what we achieved has been excellent. We need fine tuning and will be a real chance if Stuart makes a few hard decisions next year and 2022.Horace Dove-Edwin wrote: ↑October 16, 2020, 8:45 pm Beaten by a better team tonight.

Obviously we were blown away after the first 20 and all credit to Bellamy and his storm, they bamboozled us. We had the talent but wasn't our night.
I'm not sure how i feel right now - apart from being shattered in the aftermath. I'm sure when I take stock I will feel better.
