When Hodgo went down we were in pretty ordinary form. Most people, myself included, at that point wrote us off. We just beat the twice Premiers to move forward to a Preliminary Final. It's quite unbelievable. I'm happy to be proved wrong.

It’s for days like this that you’re a Rugby League fan. Congratulations to the team and all the supporters. Proud as punch.

Plenty of salt over on the chook pen if CNK needs it

And me! Can’t wait.

There’s something beautiful about being able to attend a prelim in Brisbane that doesn’t involve the Broncos in the same season they win the wooden spoon.

Very deceptive on different angles. Looked directly forward on 2 of them that I saw, and 50/50 on another.

I said before the game we had to produce our best performance of the year. That was arguably our best performance over the last 2 seasons in many ways. Papa, Young, Charnze, Tapine, absolutely outstanding. Super proud. Hope we keep going - no one will give us a chance against Melbourne but I feel more confident against them than I did against the Roosters.

It's out best first half in a long time. We dropped off a bit towards the end of it but you really can't keep that level up for an entire game.

Tough game. Great win.

I thought Papa, Tapine and Young really set us up in that first half. Young in particular locked up their attack in the middle and really gave Papa and Taps some huge support with those early carries.

Poor old Croker and Whitehead had a tough evening against that edge. Manu was fantastic.

All in all a great result. The monkey is almost off our back.

So looking at the sportsbet odds for next week, Melbourne are at 1.47 and we at 2.75. Obvious outsiders but lesser so than what we started this week. Another strong start essential and we should ride this wave to another GF.

Also might I add Brad Fittler is an absolute dunce of a commentator, up there with Anasta.

I've calmed down enough to watch the after match interviews, etc. Croker was very hard on himself. He didn't have a good game but a few players had some **** ups, it happens. He wasn't our worse, but we didn't really have anyone playing poorly out there.

Also credit where it's due, other than that one horrendous error in defence that led to a try, I thought Semi was much improved. So pumped.

I think the Raiders wanted it more. The defensive pressure saw the Chooks throw so many passes behind their players. The straight running and support play in the George Williams try was breathtaking. Papa is a freakish footballer. Scored a try and produced the initial offload for the Williams try. Tapine picked his mark in Keary who looked very shaken up after the head clash with Papa as Papa was scoring his try. George Williams short kicking game set up a try for Jack after a freakish bounce away from Teddy but he had other similar kicks for CNK and JB which with an ounce of luck could have also resulted in tries. Now onto the refreshed Storm in Brisbane next Friday. Same again Sticky.

I had no real issue with Manu’s try, BUT the Problem is the Bunker has called up plenty of softer decoys and softer double movements all year.

But the forward pass for the last Roosters try was absolutely beyond horrendous. Even Roosters fans side on to the play couldn’t believe their luck it was ignored.

The Eastern side touch judge couldn’t call a blatant forward pass all night. (I note the angles at the SCG can be confusing sometimes, but he was often in good position).

Third prelim in five years. Who the **** is this team?

Still not a huge achievement, but considering the poverty of the 20 prior years....

Starved for too long.. we deserve to win it this year more than any other team..
We have players in their prime and other key players like papalii who might have just a couple of yrs.. so it feels like if it's not this year it has to be before 2022.. before another rebuild

Actually, he probably was the worst, which is crazy, because that level of performance might have seen him score 3-2-1 points some weeks.

Only other issue was Lui and Soliola both having a quiet night at the same time. Neither was poor, but both were way down Paps and Taps.

Thought CHN ripped in nicely and added some real momentum.l

Bit harsh on the Panthers, who dominated the regular season and played with verve and style.

Still, **** 'em, eh?

Not at all.. they've had a softer draw and nowhere near as much travel.. don't underestimate the impact of travel.. oh and they've had minimal injuries

**** me, watching footage of Tapine's try. Incredible. Only a VERY small handful of forwards in the game of similar size would be capable of doing that, and one of them has recently signed for the Titans at a whopping $1.25M per year.

Thank **** we've got him signed until 2023.

Players like Young, Tapine and the emergence of Starling has been a huge bonus.
Also Sutton was going great until his injury.
We must fix our defence though Semi, Rappa and Croker were bad in the first half.
I’ve also noticed Rapaa as much as I love the guy has been pretty angry this year and it’s showing in his game at times a few bad reads in defence which again we must fix.

Such an awesome game of football! Couldn’t be prouder of what the boys achieved out there last night. They clearly just wanted t more and the belief in the squad is amazing.

I loved he message from the coach and players that it is about what we do. If we play at our best we will win these games.

It seemed like 2/3 of our team played their best game of the season! Let’s hope they can do it again next weekend!
