Would like to see havili start as he provides more direct play

I wouldn’t be against that idea

I’d like to see Lui start too. But I wouldn’t be changing the 17

Makes me grumpy we have to play Roosters this week, whilst Rabbitohs who finished quite a number of points behind us play Parra bloody Matta.

Souths a sure thing to make the Prelim.

We didn't make the top 4 so can't really complain about who and when we meet the top teams in elimination games. From fifth, you know you have to do it the hard way. The Roosters have let in 90 points in a fortnight. The scars are still there but we should be able to get over them if we think we are potential premiers.

Canberra Raiders have weapons to beat anyone in NRL: Jack Wighton

The Canberra Raiders turn up and they can beat anyone. That's the belief Raiders gun Jack Wighton has ahead of their grand final rematch against the Sydney Roosters at the SCG on Friday.

"We've got a good bunch of boys. We've got good middles. We've got strike power everywhere too," Wighton said. "[If] we turn up on the night and we can put it to any team in the NRL. I truly believe that.

Canberra Raiders forward Hudson Young restless to be part of Sydney Roosters grand final rematch

Having missed the 2019 finals due to suspension, Hudson Young's determined to have a big finals campaign and he's relishing playing against the Sydney Roosters at the SCG on Friday.

"Yeah definitely, 12 months ago I was in a different situation to what I am now," he said. "Very grateful that the club stuck by me. To miss last year's finals series I'll put my hand up and have a big finals series this year.

Canberra Raiders enforcer Josh Papa excited by prospect of joining Wayne Bennett's State of Origin world

Queensland enforcer Josh Papalii is excited for State of Origin if for no other reason than to meet Wayne Bennett.

"Massive. I don't think I've met Wayne before. I'm actually looking forward to it if I get picked," Papalii said. "Hopefully Wayne approves of the way I've been playing and I'm honestly that excited to meet him."

I agree about finishing 5th BnM. We have won the first of our challenges in the final series. We have a maximum of 3 more games to play in season 2020. Whoever Sticky picks this week, (I don't expect any player changes), will be solely focused on beating the Chooks. Each player will have a role to play in Sticky's plan for the match. I think we are a good chance to win.

Given what happened in last years Grand Final and what I saw against the Sharks, there will need to be a general warning about turning their backs on the opposition while they get back into their defensive positions. The other will be about playing the ball with the foot. Some are not making the effort to do that. Whether the players like it or not, it is part of the rules of the game.

FWIW, I reckon the boys will be much more prepared for this game than what they were against the Sharks. I'm sure it's not really the case, but they seemed to have one eye on this weekend coming. It wasn't until Stuart ripped into them at half time that they woke up.

They won't be needing to manufacture any motivation on Friday. Should be a good game.

I’m hoping our world class halves and forward pack make up for our average outside backs.

I think this draw suits us better. We probably match up better against East's and storm who we've beaten more than parra and Rith who we've lost to.
Vs East's we need to obviously start well to match their intensity in the first 15mins. We should be targeting their small halves in attack and really give kearys ribs a good rattle.
Edge defense is key as they'll be targeting our centres on both sides.. must tackle tedesco better than last start.

it's good there's tickets available for away team members. If we somehow get through this game I'll be keen to head to Suncorp Stadium to see us take on Storm.

I got tickets no problems. Figured there was about 25k max Roosters supporters at the Grand Final, so it would be surprising to have more than 15k of them turning up to this game after 2 losses.

Mate if we manage to beat the roosters Friday night we will be relying on you and all the other Queensland based supporters to go and support our team.

Sydney fans aren't allowed in and I'm not sure how many flights would be leaving Canberra to get the Canberra locals over the border.

For all Queensland fans I will pass on my members link email to all of you next Monday :D

I will honestly laugh and cry at the same time if we manage to significantly out number the roosters fans Friday night.

I think the boys will get a massive boost from it too!

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if we got close. We clearly outnumbered them at least 2-1 at the Grand Final.
