Tough 2 points but I'll take it. Huge danger game with the long trip north.

What a putrid Game, and what a putrid kicking game for the Raiders? Was Wighton still winging about the jumpers instead of worrying about playing footy, what a putrid display. Lucky we snuck away with the win, and what the hell was wrong with the deck, was it a goat track?

Massive, massive problems in attack. Ricky needs to take a step back here and get a few fresh pairs of eyes to look at it, because this won't hold up in the finals. We'll be cannon fodder. It isn't as if it's there but not quite clicking - there's nothing there, at all.

I totally expected that type of performance. High effort, high errors and terrible execution.

Man we were bad in that game.

8/10 of the past seasons we lose that one. We're finding ways to win despite playing poorly, I'll take it. On a side note, big ups to Scott, glad to see him put in a decent shift

Rapa huge game, but so so many errors.

Wighton was horrendous out there. The worst game from him in years.

Scott was solid. Credit to him.

So-so win but a win nevertheless. Tough trip to NQld and the humidity didn't help.
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

I take that win. Long travel and humidity. JB looked great. CHN a bit rusty as expected. We need to win these close games and win when we don't play well. We seem to get up for the top sides but play poorly when we are the overwhelming favourites. Two soft tries but something to work with before playing Penrith. We should have CNK back. Hope Papa is not suspended.

If Valemei off for CHN was preconceived I reckon that’s the worst idea Stuart has had for a while.

Whitehead
CHN
Bateman

Is something to hopefully look forward to in a few weeks. Everything great Bateman did bar the try assist could be amplified in the middle imo.

Two genuine five eighths in attack are starting to look like they’ll struggle without Hodgson too imo
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

It's 22C!
That's about as warm as the UK gets in the peak of summer, and its no where near as humid as Townsville.
It was 37.8C 2 days ago and it’s very humid in summer. I guess you haven’t been there?

Take the two and get out. Tough conditions; horrendous surface and long trip. Need to win like that sometimes.
Wighton was horrible. Funny that when you spend the week making headlines, worrying about a jersey of all things, that your head doesn’t look in the game.
Ricky will be happy with the two and the resilience but pissed with the sloppiness from the get go

I also need to mention Croker's kicking from the side line made the difference and it's great he's getting these goals. Also good decision to take the penalty in the first half

If Scott can replicate tonight on a consistent basis, there will be few complaints about him (regarding on-field performances)

One thing I'll say is that Jack and George being so strong defensively is a massive help in games like this

Scott was good,
Rapa was good too, did a fine job..
Johnny was good, I noticed Corey was good while he was on too.
Hudson had a good game.
We play to the level of the opposition and win this year..
we play better against better teams I think.
Good to get the 2 points

Yep. Jack an absolute stinker with the ball. However defensively he was outstanding.

Agree Julian, particularly at the end of the match when we were looking for fast legs and they were temporarily down to 12 players having used their last interchange with 7 minutes to go. Still CHN got 30 minutes of game time and that will be good for him, even if it was at left center.

Bank the 2 competition points, which is what we went there to get, and be grateful the game at their new stadium was a win for us. Now they have the long journey home, but do get a 7 day turn around before playing the Panthers at Panther stadium. Sticky will be dirty with the players but happy with the competition points.
